The entries are up for Worlds:

Russian entries are Irina Slutskaya, Elena Sokolova, Viktoria Volchkova.
It is my understanding that the "test" for Irina and Vika is tomorrow and Thursday, March 10 and 11.
My guess is Irina and Vika will go to Worlds no matter what.
That worries me a little (about Irina). She may well be pressured to go even if she doesn't feel up to it.
Buttle came in 3rd at Nationals and Canada only qualified 2 men for Worlds.
If you have any information about Vika's & Irina's test, please write....Originally posted by euterpe

At verner's board (http://www.sport.ru/forum/verner) somebody posted that Irina and Vika aren't among the participants of Kubok Moskvi, the event where the test skates where scheduled to take place. So maybe with the given situation Russian Fed doesn't insist any longer on Vika and Irina to proove themselves before worlds?Originally posted by kasia16

I think Vika should at least prove why she should be sent instead of Basova (other than Basova's disaster skate at Europeans).
Here's a story that says Irina WILL be in Dortmund

Irina and Vika had part of their test skates at Kubok Moskvi today, but they were not marked. There is a little report about that at FSU: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/foru...?s=&forumid=11 - click at "Irina and Victoria test skating"
And Ptichka - Vika skated a clean SP!![]()
