I forgot to add something else. Remember when Maxim called Tatiana his sunlight on Instagram, well, in the documentary he says she's always shining even more so when she's happy. And Tatiana says they got used to be together all that time that if they don't see each other for a couple of hours they're starting to miss each other.

Re his hair, I also hope he cuts it soon. I liked the Black Swan era, with shorter and fluffier hair. Maybe he's waiting to be done with Masquerade and Jesus Christ Superstar, hopefully.

Or he could hack off some of Jason Brown's locks and make it into a wig. Helping several skaters in the process lol:)

Yeah, that last photo was my favorite ;)

Thanks for finding the NBC feature story link, Annafer. I hadn't been able to find it and was getting ready to invite anyone who didn't get to see it over to my house to watch the recording on my DVR - ha ha.

The PDA at the exhibition practice definitely makes me laugh. They (especially Maxim) don't care WHO knows it at this point

I won't burden this thread with posting all the videos I've watched this week, but as a relatively new V/T fan, I'm just now seeing some of their competition/show performances from years past. I especially liked the choreography and post-program "face-on-face" interaction from Worlds 2012 (late March) in Nice. I'm guessing their relationship was well underway at this point. And of course, on a more serious note, their skating in that program was INCREDIBLY good :agree:

I agree, the Godfather SP is one of the best. I liked all their FP, but for some reason even though it was criticized by some I enjoy Jesus Christ Superstar. And Masquarade will be forever in my heart, they just shine in that program.

A question. Does anyone have the NBC video of them after winning the gold when they hugged and kissed backstage? I would really like to see it, I only saw some gifs.

I keep thinking it must be something to have a relationship like that. To have either a male or female be so in love with the other that they seem to block out the outside world when they are together. In their own happy bubble. Just saying that makes me think of G&G. :frown:

I hope it will stay that way... I love them. They were meant to be together but who knows what future brings. I think Maxim has never been on such a high in his life. I am so happy for them.

Ahhh, once again, I have it recorded on my DVR at home -- and yes, I've watched it a few times :rolleye: So far haven't seen it online.

I hope their "happy bubble" can last, too. Definitely on the biggest high of both their lives right now. At Maxim's age, and with the injuries he's had, wonder how long they will continue skating together at the competition level.

Apparently I need to go in search of the "Godfather" program now...

I've seen enough videos of V/T performances now to truly be baffled as to why Maxim's previous coach thought that Maxim was not good enough for Maria. In the video I just watched of Maxim/Maria's performance at the 2010 European Championships (admittedly the only video of them I've taken the time to watch), the only one I saw having any problems was Maria. And aside from what seemed to be the customary kisses that you would expect from a Russian couple, they were fairly cold to one another. Also expected in their case ;)

If you are interested, I think I can translate some parts of what is said in the film. I have already started working at it. My English may not be perfect, though...

That would be great! I'm sure there's interesting stuff we missed in the documentary.

Regarding Maxim and Maria, he's a high-tempered guy and so was she and their coach Oleg Vasiliev so imagine the clashes. I think that's the key to Maxim and Tatiana partnership on and off the ice, she probably calms him down very easily when it needs to be done, hence Maxim's mother thanking her in the documentary. Or I imagine that with her around he is automatically calmer than before, she just inspires tranquility.

I saw a russian article, just one, where they were saying that due to Plushenko's health issues he retired from a show he had to do in a Russian city and Tatiana and Maxim will go instead. The problem is that it happens a day before the Worlds start. So either they decided to not go to the Worlds or they're mistaken in the article. I do remember them saying they will take a decision regarding the Worlds only after Art on ice ends.

So, here is the beginning of the translation of the THIRD video from here - http://sporteveryday.info/pages/tat...eo/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
It just happened so, that I began translating this very part, and then translated on and on... so, this is the translation of the THIRD part, please note.

Having gone all the way through the Soviet school of figure skating, knowing all its pros and cons, Nina Mozer is nevertheless a coach of new generation. In order to work with Tanya and Maxim she has invited the narrowly focused specialists into her team – specialists in technique, in choreography, in jumps etc. The best stylists and designers work with her. And it brings success. In January 2014 there was a milestone event in the world pair skating – the whole podium at the European championship was occupied by the students of one coach, Nina Mozer, – Tatyana Volosozhar/Maxim Trankov, Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov and Vera Bazarova/Yuri Larionov. All these three pairs are now representing Russia at the Olympics in Sochi.

TV: Nina Mikhailovna is the most important person for us in sport now… and in life, too… she is very experienced, very intellectual… she is wise, she always knows what to do… well, I can say that she is like our second mother… we all are one, we are like a big family.

Volosozhar and Trankov have both been trained by high-qualification specialists. Maxim was taught the technique of pair skating by the famous coaches Lyudmila and Nikolay Velikovs, and Oleg Vasiliev has made his skating professional and modern. Tanya, before she began skating with Maxim, had also been coached by elite specialists – Nikolay Morozov, Ingo Steuer… But the one to unlock the potential of them both, to turn the two first-rate skaters into a first-rate pair was Nina Mozer and her team.

MT: She's like our second mother… any problem… I can't even imagine which problem she wouldn’t help us to sort out… or say "I can't do anything about it"...

- So, you can say, there's "the one button in your phone"?
MT: Well, in the "preferred numbers" I have three numbers – Mum, Tanya and Nina Mikhailovna.

- But most often you phone to…
MT: Tanya.

- Tanya. But you are together almost all the time, anyway?
MT: Well, sometimes we are not… she goes shopping, for example, to some ladies' shops, and I wait her somewhere…

When they began to skate together, each of them had their own personal life. Tanya came to Moscow with Stanislav Morozov, and Maxim brought from St.Petersburg his girlfriend, Alexandra. Both couples lived near each other, in the building facing the rink.

MT: We all were friends, were getting along with each other, then… well, the things took their own course. There had been problems between Sasha and me even before that… maybe, Tanya and Stas also had some controversies, as far as I can gather … so, I didn’t part with my girlfriend because Tanya appeared, no.

- So, both relationships just came to an end …
MT: Yes, and in fact I was dating Sasha for half a year after Tanya had parted with Stas…

Nina Mozer: Has he put up with it, or hasn’t he – I can't tell, what is inside him. Stas is a very reserved person. So, when he came he had one status, now the status has changed – but he is the coach of these skaters, above all. We all work, we work all together… some time ago I said to them: "We started as one team, we have the result, and we should go on like that, we shouldn’t change anything."

The relationship between Tanya and Maxim began when both of them were already free. Now they are together and they are absolutely happy being near each other.

MT: As people say "there is some chemistry", there is indeed some chemistry between us… Sometimes people search for all their life and don't find… and we are partners, we have such a link… stronger than between any husband and wife…

TV: We spend so much time together, that we begin missing each other even if we don’t see each other for a few hours.

MT: She is always shining – and when she is happy, she's, well, just a bundle of sunshine… everybody notices that…

To be continued...
