It's funny how one bad jumping pass can cost so much,
It seemed Adelina was the Russian IT girl heading into Sochi, With them choosing her as National champion,
Leading the Short in Europeans, But that missed combo in the FS cost her the title there after Lips served it and won,
Since then being chosen solely for the Team event, Establishing major PCS and rep, I can't help but wonder
If all that narrative was meant for Adelina, And what will happen with her now, Will her PCS get a boost too, Or will she be somewhat left off?
And can Russia score 2 medals in Ladies?

The Fed (regardless of country) is going to go with the hot hand. Lipnitskaia has proven herself on the international stage to be able to consistently deliver a great program with only minor errors but no major falls. Adelina if on can deliver great programs, but has proven to be inconsistent.

Clearly, winning the team event was extremely important to Russia (fair enough). And they obviously thought Lipnitskaya had the better chance of staying on her feet (and scoring big). It was more important to them to win the team event than to mess around and try to use the team as a set up for the individual event. I don't think this great for Adelina and it must be a bit of a blow to her ego. But still, her only answer is to skate well and if she does the home crowd will still go bezerk and that could be an advantage that could tip her over the edge against some of the other girls.

Ihope Adelina will show Russia and the world the goods. she got no team medal wheras Jeremy has his bronze.
