I would give anything to see anyone skate to something performed on Eurovision. I know the Turks did it last year with Fairytale, but every time I hear a few songs from last year, I can see an ice dancing team skating to it.

Johnny and Tara were complaining about Coombes and Buckland were mismatched physically due to size difference, now they're complaining this pair is too similar in size....

Seriously, haven't they heard of good ability overcoming physical encumbrances?

I said this a few days ago--Tara Lipinski talking about anything related to artistry, choreography, etc, is a joke. She certainly skated like these were foreign concepts. NBC should use Tanith Belbin as the expert for dance, or Tracey Wilson. Both are far more qualified to judge than Ms. Lipinski.

Also, I join the chorus of those who loved the Spanish team. I'm far from an expert I just know their perf gave me goosebumps, and the others not so much.

Here's the BBC feed for anyone who's tired of Johnny and Tara:

I get NBCSN but I can't deal with their unknowledgable commentary on Ice Dance. Next year they need to get Tanith or Ben Agosto (Or both. That would be awesome).

I actually think a good ice dancing pair would be physically similar in size... unlike pairs.

This is what I would think as well, but I don't have much knowledge of ice dancing. I just base it on the types of lifts they do and what I am used to seeing.

I enjoy Johnny, Tara, and Terry, but ice dancing should have an ice dance expert as a commentator at all times because it is the hardest discipline for the audience to understand. It's like how they use artistic commentators for rhythmic gymnastics - you really need a rhythmic expert to help explain how difficult things are because it is easier to understand flips compared to dance movements.

Julia actually skated to a Eurovision winner's (1995) song one season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DlQqRP6jZ4

Zlobina and Stinikov just annoyed me. You have this FABULOUS music and don't incorporate a single modern dance move into your program? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. You should skate to Carmen. Trust me, no one will notice the difference.

A poster said that Tara's father bragged his daughter researched about "ice dancing" into the night....

WHAT RESEARCH? I guess that's why she didn't accomplish much academically.

Thanks for the feed!!!!!
