Should cheats beat clean in the SP?

I watched the SP last night and Ando clearly cheated the second jump on the t-t combo. Then Arakawa cheated both the second jump on the combo and the triple flip. Should that beat Kwan's clean jumps just because they tried t-t??? Seems very wrong to me. This is just another reason why the points system is needed. Cohen won the short fair and square but not those other two. Did I hear wrong or are the japanese one of the federations that don't wnat the points system. Figures. Ando won't get credit for her cheated quad in the points system.

I think if the jump is cheated then they shouldn't get full credit. Maybe 1/4 credit just for the attempt. Because most know if they cheat on the jump most likely they get get full credit so why bother doing it correctly. This is just my thoughts.
