I really like Kevin Reynold's music choices for this season! Hope he brings both programs onto the next season

If anyone skates to that, he/she has my vote for any title!
Nicole Bobek's exhibition from World's in 1995. It was nicely done, and I loved the costume!

Yes, It was great! desertskates, thanks for posting the link (I admit I have been a more than a bit lazy about posting links, especially since our computer crashes each time I try to watch a Youtube video lately ) vLadiMiRa, see my post #54 for some other skaters re: The Circle of Life.

I'd like to see Yulia skate to something from Marie Antoinette (She even looks a bit like Kirsten Dunst!)
    Some candidates:
    "Avril 14th" - by Aphex Twin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-KLlE4kKHA)
    "Concerto in G" - by Vivaldi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzmU_9U-3Go)
    "Opus 36" - by Dustin O'Halloran (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzxo0YCxAA0)
"Ceremony" - by New Order (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pjz_S_d2lk)

For Radionova, or maybe Gracie (lots of good ones by this artist, too):
"Dream Fortress" - by Grimes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQUGsrPli1U)

I'd give either of these to Jeremy Abbot. I think his choreography, energy, and expressiveness are a perfect fit.
"Crooked Legs" - by The Acorn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQj3l_GLN90) *eta - fixed link
"The Flood: Part One" - by The Acorn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9U5qutkUIw)

    Other good songs, for anyone:
"Acid, Bitter, and Sad" - by This Mortal Coil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSorZSnd3iE)
"Oh Love" - by Ane Brun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xiVhJu6Z1g)
"You Are the Blood" - by Sufjan Stevens (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma-l-2izB_s)
"Ocean" - by Dream Koala [feat. Soko] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XDpD1KYUW0)
    "A Walk" - by Tycho (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mehLx_Fjv_c)
"Crystallize" - by Lindsay Stirling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHjpOzsQ9YI)
"Bolero" - by Dead Can Dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG-S6DzMdUY)
"Kiko" - by Dead Can Dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYNspSb5xIg)
"Death is the Road to Awe" - by Clint Mansell [The Fountain OST] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FDAkpQSJVA)
"Girl I Love You" - Massive Attack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQPSMRQnNlU)
"Organ Donor" - DJ Shadow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4E60Ffa9yQ)
"Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt" - DJ Shadow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ld_tF1AXqs)

@I♥Yuna: Péchalat/Bourzat skated to Organ Donor for their wonderful Madness FD in 2007/08.

What about The Pillow Book soundtrack? It contains songs by Guesch Patti: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRvLUoaJ0hQ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJmAr8YHSvg - haunting
and a Valse by Belgian composer Walter Hus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHaXDQI4Deo
as well as the 1940 Chinese pop song Méigui méigui wǒ ài nǐ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PrvRhaoNN8

Antother suitable movie soundtrack is Rob Roy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pb_9s...id=P3ybEIqmewA – I like the movie better than Braveheart.

Yeah I liked that one It was blended with some other music, tho, and the tempo was slower. I like the original version best (maybe for a singles short program instead).

That valse is awesome + Rob Roy <3

I know I remember seeing someone skate to Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, but I don't remember who it was. I've always been surprised more skaters don't skate to Mozart though.

Ryan Bradley skated to it, IIRC.

I was looking at the videos listed here (all wonderful selections) and then tried to find just the instrumental portion of Jackie Evancho's cover of "Lovers". I didn't find it but I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IT22eDpK04
    It's so pretty.

I posted this a few days ago but I really think this would be a great SP or Gala. Especially around the 1:55 mark. Kind of modern but very classical.

I could see Yulia or a skater with similar intensity pulling it off.

I really like it. Thanks for showing us.

That would be really incredible to see. I think it suits her, obviously things seem different when it's just hypothetical, but it's good without being as cluttered or over-the-top-intense as Sabre Dance. Were you thinking for a short or long program?

I would like it if, for one of her programs she skated to something softer, more lyrical, because she shows quite a bit of gracefulness, and it would be wonderful if a choreographer really showed that side of her.

I want a short dance in leg warmers set to this immortal piece: http://youtu.be/9EcjWd-O4jI

In all seriousness, amongst contemporary film composers I think Patrick Doyle has two great pieces that are a bit underused, but Lipinski used both to great effect: "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Sense and Sensibility". It's rousing and romantic and the cut Tara used in the 1997 worlds was perfect. Having seen her do it at 14, I'd like to see how someone older could interpret the same piece.

Among films of the last few years that aren't Les Miserables, how about Life of Pi, for an Indian-themed piece? It also won an Oscar for its great score. If done right, could be a great companion piece with D/W's wonderful Bollywood number.

It was the height of chic when I was young...er. Although I can't imagine Ashley trying a triple-triple combo with boots, a catsuit (borrowed from Aljona or Tania V) and a FANNY PACK. :P

My sister and I do this too (Here are my favorite alternates for Yuna )

    Short Program (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5SDN7NP-Og)
^Mute & she begins on the first word of:
    Hijo de la Luna (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POgViZ_Zcek)
^ So beautiful <3 The lyric "Luna de plata" means "Moon of Silver" (like her medal )

    Free Skate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x3wEvzZSjM)
^Mute & she starts right at 0:05 seconds on this next song [so *bop*bop* guitar234... start(234)...]:
    Seekers Who Are Lovers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf1tEMlViLY)
^Some tiny adjustments here and there, and a different style costume = it's like a whole other program & story
