    Back flip!!

Candeloro and Bonaly had powerful ones which had made crowds so excited.

In contrast to them, Robin Cousins had very elegant back flip, which is my favorite.
He did it with crassical music, Rachmaninoff No. 2, and it is breathtaking

Talking about Gala itself, I love most of Mao's and Kozuka's
and of course Plushenko's Sex Bom.

The best exhibition of all time and the best performance by a ladies skater at this Olympics--IMHO, of course.

Shen/Zhao "Sweet Dreams". In terms of props, I don't know if this is the best /prop/, but the table and chairs were certainly creatively used--like for the chair death spiral. It's not actually a gala ex, just a performance from one of their tours.

Shen/Zhao have a lot of great EXs and performance programs, in my opinion, especially the ones from 2002 onward.

    >.> ...and as a personal thing, one of my personal favorites (but probably not really considered one of the "greats") is Song Nan's EX he used in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons, which is set to "Sarabande Suite" by Globus. Song often gets sidelined because of his lower PCS scores, but this EX was always mystifyingly expressive and artistic.

Fields of Gold - Michelle Kwan
    Love Dance - Akiko Suzuki
You Raise Me Up - Shizuka Arakawa
    Tango - Daisuke Takahashi
Meditation from Thais - Yuna Kim
    Hallelujah - Carolina Kostner

Could probably name about 50 more Ex and show pieces that I love.

Daisuke's Luv Letter started it all for me. It's still my #1 favourite to this date.

Javier's aerobics class was hilarious the first couple of times. I also like it when skaters bring back their nice competitive programs and skate it in a gala setting - like Joubert.

    Kulik -Mortal combat.

    Petrenko - 92 Oly ex

Plushenko - All ex where he shows his humour. I found especially Assisay, so unexpected, so special!

Slutzkaya - Old pop in an oak

While i like a lot of skaters i don't remember particlar ex, some of then are to boring music, some of them are nothing special, some are lovely but not memorable...

I remember when I saw Michelle was crying during the performance, I burst out crying myself!

I was never particularly a Sasha Cohen fan, but I loved her Romeo and Juliet exhibition.

Michelle's 2002 "Fields of Gold" had me in tears, too. Even getting misty-eyed thinking of it now -- sentimental old fool that I am!

    More recent fun show programs:

Tessa and Scott- Everybody Dance Now. After the classical feel oh Mahler, this was fabulous at the Gala.

Marissa and Simon- Royals. Just so much fun and one of the more well choreographed American show programs. You can tell it was practiced and not thrown together in a day.

Thank you for that lovely image. I am sure that was exactly the impression she was going for.
