The skating was beautiful but that music was HORRIBLE. Sounded like a funeral dirge or someone being held captive in a basement moaning.

Whoever suggested John Curry's 1976 exhibition to Scheherezade, thanks!

OK, having just finally seen most of the coverage of this year's Oly. Gala, (yes, I'm a bit behind . . .), I'm going to nominate Pang and Tong's program to "I Dreamed a Dream". I've never been a huge fan of theirs, but, oh, my goodness! Talk about 2 skating as 1! In the beginning, I thought I must be watching Ice Dancing, they were so precise and together, with intricate steps. But beyond that, the passion, the love just oozing out of every move and look---Wow!

    your favorite exhibition/gala programs?

this one is my all time favorite, P/B skating to Stromae songs 'tous les memes/formidable': the music, the dancing, simply adorable! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b3Bh2JzKgw

Wasn't Yuna once performing to Dark Waltz by Hayley Westenra, or is it just my fantasy?

Definitely Johnny Weir's collaboration with Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov - fantastic. As well as the Plushy programs that were mentioned.

I'm loving this one right now from Elladj Balde. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlIEHhnGK4o

And Shawn Sawyer - "Working For The Weekend" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZOHTB7c0kY

Yes! That was stunning! We saw that exhibition program live @ the Marshalls Spring Exhibition (it wasn't a competition that year), in Reading, PA. It was the last Spring event hosted by ABC. It was so well received that the trio (or was it a duo with Melissa & Denis?) got to skate it a few times in the COI tour.

Same idea. The music sounds like a mass. Kinda scary
