I keep rewatching the two programs. Yuna's skating, as flat as some say it is, for me expresses the theme of the music. I know I'm biased, I know others disagree. It's a never-ending discussion. What Adelina has in hers more than Yuna is pure, raw engery. Her FS does seem more energetic, it's true. But for God's sake, what's the idea behind it? What the hell is she trying to express?

Which facts? A so-called analysis by another pissy Yuna stan are not facts. Just another opinion in the sea of many.

I think opinions are fine but arguing opinions as facts is just lunacy. I've stated in my opinion that I thought Yuna was a bit unconvincing to me. I also admit I may be pitting her against herself more so than Adelina. It may be wrong but its how I see it. I got a lot more than I expected From Adelina while I got considerable less of what I expected out of Yuna. I don't think the judges are immune to these emotions. Especially a well known skater like Yuna who many fans expected to break 150. There I said it. Tear me apart.

It seems to be contagious here. People see what they want. I like Yuna more than Adelina so its even a weirder state of affairs for me.

It's not "so-called" it IS. The facts of figure skating and the rules the skaters competed under. I'm not a Yuna stan. Nor are all of the other tech specialists who have analyzed the sequences and come to the same conclusion. Everyone agrees wrong calls were made.

The remaining questions are if they were made on purpose and/or if the rules are too complex and need improvement (most definitely yes in the latter case).

Hardly no one expected Yuna to break 150 even with a clean skate. That's why Adelina received the score she did. Why did you expect Yuna to break 150?

I know, I know. How do you argue with someone who is insistent on being illogical? They say "stick to the fact" but ignore the facts they don't want to believe.

Which is more illogical? Stating that Yuna and Adelina both made compelling cases for the gold medal and that knowledgable experts fairly disagree about who should have won, or arguing that Yuna for sure should have won and that anybody who disagrees, including the entire NBC team and a large majority of the judging panel, is somehow biased. Once you quit whining and accept that it was a close decision that didn't go your way, the happier you'll be. Or you can go start more petitions in which 95% of the signees are Korean or Asian Americans living in California.

I see you are also suffering from megalomania. You are NOT a technical specialist, you are NOT everyone nor your opinions are facts.

No they weren't made on purpose because Yuna got some close calls made in her favor. Hopefully your investigation will come to a close soon because there is nothing to uncover.

You wanted to see 2010 Vancouver Yuna probably like many others. Also many expected a sensual, fiery tango and can't see adios... as a tango.

I think the problem here is denying facts because of opinion.

I think the problem here is claiming facts as opinion and claiming opinion as fact.

Listing out via video slow motion the steps performed in a step sequence and comparing it with levels as defined by the guidelines ==> just some uninformed opinion.

Yuna was just phoning it in and did nothing but crossovers and stroking her cheeks ==> absolute unimpeachable fact.

I don't see any Sotnikova supporters claiming their opinions to be facts. They are just as much opinion as the opposing side ones. So let's just start there. The argument that "OTHER" Tech specialists did better job post-fact than 20 specialists on the competition night is just ludicrous.

Yes, lets just slip a little bit of racism into this discussion.

I didn't realize change.org could detect the race of its signators, or that someone's race determines the credibility of their opinions.

It's not even that. Schindlers List was my favorite program. I love dark and dreary moods. The thing is and as discussed the other day here, you can't go out and just run thru a program like this. You can't present a moment of doubt. As Mathman said...you can't give anyone a chance to think. It was lost in delivery to me. I hope that's not incredibly unfair of me. :)

The Olympics are like an eclipse and don't happen every year. I don't think it's unfair to expect people to raise their game. When I ask myself if Yuna put her all out there I'm inclined to say no. So in what I consider a toss up ... I'd take the one who outperformed herself and gave everything and then some. Caro should be included here to be honest.

Little bit OT but even though Mao's LP was my favorite overall performance of the Olympics, my favorite single moment was the way Yulia looked back over her shoulder at the beginning of hers. Even though there's no skating there and it's a practiced/planned move (i.e. it wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing but part of the program that she undoubtedly practiced a lot), that look just set the tone for the entire program.
