    Viveca Lindfors

Viveca Lindfors is a Finnish figure skater. She was born in Helsinki, Finland, on January 30, 1999.

I actually just saw her for the first time at Finlandia and am really impressed with her! I think she is a natural performer and very enjoyable to watch! I hope we'll be able to see more of her this season- I will definitely be rooting for her!

Viveca is a serious young lady. Her coach is Virpi Horttana, who also coached Laura Lepistö. She's already a better jumper than no-3F Laura and more flexible, so I see great things waiting for her. She's the only skater I can see bringing two spots for Finland in Helsinki 2017 Worlds.

While Viveca doesn't have the most technically challenging program(lacking a triple, only 6), it's still a pretty good FS and she does have every triple and repeats the lutz. This is much better than the majority of her competitors if she can skate it somewhat clean. I'd estimate that in the best case scenario, she can jump up 3 spots and take 8th. Top 10 she should be able to achieve if she does a decent skate, a bit better than at Finnish nationals should do.

If you are going to cheer for Finland you should learn to say: "Heja Suomi!"

Meanwhile, I liked what I saw of Viveca, and I think she has a bright future ahead of her.

ETA - It's funny that she has the same name as the Swedish actress:

Were her parents fans, or is it pure happenstance?
