There are videos from the "younger than juniors"(though some like Tsurskaya become junior eligible next year) competition...

1st Place: Ekaterina Mitrofanova SP Video
Nice improvement from last week's performance. It will be interesting to see if she breaks 170. She bombed her LP last week but scored a 108 earlier in the season. She will be junior eligible next year and I think will get jgp spots.

2nd Place: Veronika Monat SP Video
This is her first performance of the season and it's a gigantic improvement... guessing about 15 points or so above her previous pb(there's no links to a score breakdown of her last performance). Her profile only says she's born in 2012 so unsure when she's junior eligible.

3rd Place: Elizaveta Shilenko SP Video
3 point improvement from earlier in the season, entirely from TES. She will be jr eligible after next season.

I liked Mitrofanova. Jumps were nice, there is something about her.

I forgot to mention it, but Polina Tsurskaya skated extremely well... I didn't like this FS at the beginning of the season but now I think it's well done... I think she changed her costume and modified the choreography a bit...

I liked that skate. She has such a stunning rotation delay in some of her jumps. Goes up and freezes in the air...

Nugumanova (Lipnitskaya's spin is included)

 (Though the music makes me go into mourning for Liza T's Malaguena :hopelessness:). Is it just me, or does Nugumanova have very nice flow, speed, and use of the ice surface for her young age? Maybe it's the angle of the video, but it sure looks better than any StSq I saw from Canadian Nationals. :p

She's such a committed performer, yet after she does her spin, she goes back to being an adorable little girl.

Attention! Today February issue of the Prosport magazine appears on sale! Hurry to get! Read in release:
There is one national championship in female single figure skating, which is more difficult to win than any international tournament. It is the Championship of Russia in which the Olympic champion takes only the 9th place, and is higher than it there are at once three girls who are still too young to participate in adult international tournaments. In new number PROSPORT – gallery of young figure skaters, each of which expects to win the following Olympic Games. Evgenia Medvedeva, Anna Pogorilaya, Maria Sotskova, Serafima Sakhanovich, Victoria Bezrukova – such didn't see them yet.

Bezrukova instead of Proklova, even though both are from CSKA? Weird. Maybe Proklova was just busy during the shoot.

I really don't know wich is better Gubanova or Nugumanova

Right now I prefer Nugumanova. Gubanova is obviously talented, but something is missing for me...maybe I just need to see better programs. Nugumanova OTOH blows my mind...she's a freak of nature (in a good way ;) ). I really can't believe how sophisticated she is for her age.
