oh... but what about his back?

Well, if he competes, this means his back wasn't the main reason of failure. He said he was ready to fight. I think he wanted fight for the gold and so he was just very upset after fall from opening 4T, because it meant he has no chances for the gold-silver.

This is one of the important competitions, the results of which affect on divide of the money budget for the next year. Also, recently Adian said now he is oppressed/suppressed/depressed. So this competition probably will help to restore Adian's self-confidence after failure at WJC. Anyway, I hope this will help.
Ah, thanks. I'd wondered why he was participating in a domestic competition.

Regarding JWs, I know this sounds horrible, but let's be realistic: After Boyang skated, there was no chance of gold for either of the Russians. (And it would take a huge stinker from Shoma for silver). Even if Adian had landed the quad. :slink:

Well, anyway, it's just one night, one competition. He won't be defined by that going forward. I wish him luck in his final competition of the season, and better luck next season.

Adian won the Spartakiad. Total Score 232.82. FS: TSS 148.29 = TES 71.69 + PCS 76.60

Well, 4T landed perfectly, but... again popping second 3A (1A), stepout on 3Lz, popping 3S (2S). Something's going on with him. Or maybe it's just the end of the season. Good luck to him and waiting for the news!

I would think anyone would be exhausted doing 2 comps back-to-back...and who knows if his back is still hurting. Then there's just the issue of getting used to programs with quads and having to pace yourself so your stamina doesn't run out. But anyway, he won in spite of the errors and it looked like a better performance to me than the FS at Junior Worlds. I think he is doing as well as we can reasonably expect him to. But I truly hope this was the last one for awhile. :drama:

I liked both programs that the links were given to. I even think I saw him crack a PINCH of a smile after the SP.

His back needs to heal. That type of pain is nothing to mess around with.

Not that I could understand more than a few words anyway, but I had to turn my volume way up and I still can barely hear him. Nice to see his smile, though. It may be rare, but when it happens, you know it's authentic. :) Maybe the smiles will come easier now that the season is behind him & he can relax. I'm glad that the boys all seem to be good friends, too.

Can someone translate it please?

Looks like the interview was taken by some local schoolgirl playing a journalist and never seeing figure skating in her life! The first question was "What's your name?"
Nothing too much informative in this "interview", tbh. :rolleye:

It makes no sense. Interviewer is absolutely incompetent. Stupid questions, like "what is your name?", "are you compete in this level (of competition) for the first time?" (a second time), "what is your dream?" (olympic podium)

At the end of the season Adian can't help but crack a smile. Think back to your school years and the last day of school when the last bell rang how everyone was super happy summer break was here. That's how I see Adian's smile. We won't see his true honest smile until he performs 2 squeaky clean skates to win some big championship.

Great Eteri's interview http://blog.europeonice.com/?eid=494

“They get along really well together and like playing on the ice,” Tutberidze said. “They’ll turn on the music and Adian and Sergei will do each other’s routines and it’s really fun to see.
“I would describe Sergei’s technique as a classic men’s style whereas Adian is really light and gentle on the ice.”

I'd like to see Adian's skating on Sergei's FS music :p

Wonderful interview! My heart is melting... And yes - I demand video of both of them skating each other's programs!

That's his mom? She looks so young!
