Is Nam's skills (as of the moment) anywhere near Yuzu's?

the scores don't really sugest it but I would say no.Also since then the 10% rule after the second half of the programs applied, with that Yuzu's scores should have been much higher

and not only that,Nam is taking a looooong time into his 3A and despite that his jump is so small, honestly most of his jumps have no height/ice coverage and that is the huge difference between them at such an young age. He's also much slower, you can notice that watching their programs back to back.He has better posture/presentation but that's because he's been with Orser for a while
Not sure how much of a difference this would make but he's turning 16 next month and hasn't started training a quad yet while Yuzu landed 4T in the senior circuit while he was still 15

No doubt Nam is very talented, but his jumps are nothing special, and that's exactly what was Yuzu's best skill, his 3A saved him many times and the quality of the jump was there since he was young

Oh, you can register Nico Nico outside Japan?

Then, why don't you try this MAD movie? It's very cool

Nico Nico Douga has videos that YouTube does not have.
It is displayed in Japanese but it may be fun to guess what it says.
You can search Yuzu videos by inputting 羽生結弦

And, you can hide the running comments at the bottom right, if you like.

Lack of news today about Yuzuru .... Unfortunately, just SOI at Tokyo was broadcasted. Nagoya and Osaka not.

In previous years how many of SoI or The Ice shows are broadcast?
Not many. If you search 2013 videos of Hanyu on Youtube, there are not so many videos of exhibition, gala show. On the contrary, I think currently (2014) we have more broadcasted videos on air, isn't it ? And maybe these shows will be on air but in 3-4 months later ^^

Thanks SuzyQ for the link!

Posted before that if Yuzuru's R & J1 is fire, PW is ice. "That was so cool!" as Tara Lipinski was moved to exclaim after his Olympic SP skate, even before the WR record score came out.

BTW can I again impose on the kindness of the Japanese speaking fans and ask for a translation of the caption of this cartoon of Tatsuki pinching the cheeks of Yuzuru's Winnie the Pooh?

Thanks in advance! :)

I tried to put together some videos from his Jr. years.
(which actually wasn't all that easy due to lovely messages like "we're sorry to be a pain in the *** but you can't watch this in your country".....)

I hope everything is labeled correctly but if I made a mistake, please tell me.
If you can add videos (and I'm sure you can ;)) or know of different/better versions of the things I've already posted, just let me know via PM and I'll edit the post accordingly.

And from now on,Orser also has Nam in the big competitions....so I wonder how is he able to handle this situation. Three amazing skaters, all of them wanting the gold in 2018

Woah, yeah! Now you think about it, the fact that Orser coaches 2 (possibly 3) medal contenders for 2018 is crazy! Will it be like the Virtue/Moir and Davis/White situation again where both students from the same coach aim for the gold? I guess we'll just have to wait and see how much Nam improves over the next few years; also how much more Yuzu will improve with his variations of quads and ballet lessons.
