Zi Jun is a favorite of mine, but I must admit I am very disappointed in her short program, mainly because of the music choice, but the choreography falls short too imo

zijun was injured, if you look right after her fall on 2A, you will notice her thigh is heavily bandaged.
I think this Tango is great, I like the music cut as well as the choreography, just check how well those spins fit the music. Also, there are many tango-like move highlights. This soft Tango(not as intense) suits Zijun well, I hope Zijun can recover from injury soon, and do this program justice in future competition.

I don’t think Zijun Li’s new sp suits her. What she’s doing is not real tango. She can only do soft classical music such as Sleeping Beauty. Tango requires stronger emotion and different body movements that Li does not have. Also Li is heavier now. Looks like she gained some weight? Her skating suffers. In the video she’s really slow on the ice.

Also the JSF sent Hanyu to Canada to learn techniques such as transitions and skating skills which his previous Japanese coach could not teach him in Japan.

This is 16 year old unknownYuzuri” Hanyu at his first 2011-2012 “A “competition after the big earthquake and 60 summer shows to have a chance to train. Maybe his unknown coach/choreographer couldn't teach him skating skills and couldn't package the SP with transitions...

Wow, Han Yan! That is so refreshing, finally something nice and clever for the olympic season. I absolutely love this choreo, very different from what she had last season. I never thought he can do this bubbly happy program. He always seems so serious. I think he is the one for the Olympics. I haven't seen Nan Song yet but Han Yan is really, really good.
Happy to see Sui and Han in such a good shape. I really missed them and I hope this will be a great season for them. They are also a very modern and not so chinese couple.
I don't know what to say about Zi Jun. Looks good, not very impressive yet but there is still to come. And she looks taller and more mature than last year.

actually, she said that she has not do any run though until this competition since her injury. She also mentioned that she was not in competition mood at all because of injury and lack of training. Also, Zijun seems experiencing puberty now.

Yuck; it may have been done but not well - adding beats to the music; I am not sure this was a good thing.

Actually funny how Phantom is not that popular this year. At least we can always count on Shpilband to haul that one out!
