And for those who haven't heard yet, Canadian ice dance team Ralph & Hill have also ended their partnership (although on friendlier terms than I&K and S&Z):

Deividas Stagniūnas announces his retirement due to the recurrence of injuries:

    (article in English)

Lithuanian Skating Federation hopes that Tobias will continue to represent Lithuania though I'm not sure if that's likely...

Tobias would have a tough time finding a US partner, and even if she did there would be little hope she'd ever get to skate internationally---too much competition. It makes more sense for her to continue to skate for LTU.

Ice Dance is not "dead" in Canada! Exciting "new" teams will be emerging from Novice, to Junior, and to Senior. It will be an interesting season.

I am so bumed that Deividas had to retire because of recurring injuries.
I will miss him skating with Isabella. At least he got to make it to the Olympics. That will stay with him forever.

In the case of Isabella, she has time on her side. Maybe its time for her to call Ilia.....

Oops spoke to late. They are already training together. A Lithuanian Newspaper accuses Isabella of crocodile tears when receiving her Lithuanian Passport.....

Another retirement. She has gone back to CZE, he is concentrating on his studies.
    Lucie MYSLIVECKOVA/Neil Brown.

Brian Joubert looks to has a trial with Daria Popova.
That would be exciting for France to have 3 credible couples.

And a strongly rumored retirement backed up by the fact that they are no longer training with Barbara Fusar-Poli.
    Pernelle CARRON/Loyd JONES

If it's true, it's sad for her. She will never fullfill her potential. Splitting with Jost was the huge mistake. Then leaving Lyon.

This post Sochi Carnage has been massive!
The next four years are going to be interesting. However, since so many of the teams who are sort of above average and near the top 10 are splitting or retiring, this is the chance for all those couples who just missed out on Sochi to step up and move up in the Ice Dance World.

In the case of pairs....we need to wait and see....

    That's harsh.
