What exhibitions do you wish had been competitive programs?
Many exhibitions programs are phoned-in, but sometimes a skater has an exhibition so good you wish they would have used it competitively. What programs do you think fit this criteria?
Here are some that I picked.
Mao Asada "Por Una Cabeza" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8QVsi6_rgM
Maria Butyrskaya "Vogue" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niI1ffYtAQ0
-Peter Carruthers : "The story goes that in Moscow she'll actually rollerblade in the streets, and she's been known to stop traffic."
Maria Butyrskaya ABBA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE7nCUteP8o
Maria Butyrskaya "Carmen" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe-dysFOKoE
Mao Asada's Chopin Ballade No. 1: http://youtu.be/XPqHSdHEQZ0
Christopher Bowman's Maria: http://youtu.be/qMRW1HmNiVI
Akiko Suzuki's Libertango: http://youtu.be/v1gDGozML94
Sasha Cohen's Hernando's Hideaway: http://youtu.be/o15nLDKloYo
Gordeeva/Kulik's Casi un Bolero: http://youtu.be/MpDZf82KYhA
This would have been a beautiful short program for akiko suzuki.
With the introduction of lyrics this year I wouldn't mind Josh turning his stunning "When I Was Your Man" ex into an SP (and I've heard many favourable reports about his SOI number too, BUT THERE ARE NO FANCAMS WHY IS JOSH SO INVISIBLE ). But then Josh started talking about an upbeat happy SP and that makes me happier.
Imagine Plushy working the Sex Bomb as a competition program.
Wicked Yankee Girl
Midori Ito 1993 World Pros Technical Program: The Rose of Pain-
Amazing Jumps, and generally gorgeous.
Pluschenko: Je Suis Malade @ 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics
Kinda ironic, because many of the music sites are now referring to Sex Bomb as his "gold-medal winning performance" after the band used it for their music video. I highly doubt he'd be able to jump quads in that muscle suit, haha (and the prop violation to boot).

- Possibly Dai's Luv Letter. It's still my favourite skate by him, but I'm uncertain if it can work with the competition requirements.
- I wouldn't mind seeing one of Virtue/Moir's more humorous exhibition pieces in competition, just for a change in pace. Not sure if it'll go over well with the judges though...
(Man, all retired/might retire, so won't happen...)
Great choice! She could have won the World Championships that year with this performance.

I think Ashley's Young And Beautiful would make a good exhibition piece. I much prefer it to her Shine On You Crazy Diamond SP from this season. It fits her better.
Or Mirai's Demons. I think that piece brings out her artistry (she should work on the jumps, but that's always feedback, so...) and highlights her great spins (especially that Pearl!)
LET IT GO!!!!!
Hah, just kidding. I totally would pick Midori's Rose of Pain... lovely program.
I'm not a Plushenko fan but have to admire his talents in this piece Tosca. Imagine it in an SP context, will definitely bring the house down.
Mao's Jupiter and a bunch of A/S and Yuka Sato's professional programs.
Since lyrics are allowed now in competitions, I would like to see Yuzu's hello I love you as a short program :-D I think this kind of music really suits him and he could also connect with it.
Agree with Plushy Sex Bomb, the other one I wish was a competitive program is One Banana by Yagudin.
No way. Any judge in their right mind would give him 1.0 presentation for the make-up alone. I was fortunate not to see One Banana back in the day (would've scarred my childhood...) but when I searched on Youtube... well, I almost died the moment I saw the thumbnail.
