MICHAL BREZINA TO TRAIN IN OBERSTORF GERMANY
Michal Brezina of the Czech Republic announced today that he will continue his training in Oberstorf. Germany and Brno Czech Republic with former coach Karel Fajfr.
“I look forward to returning to Obersdorf to resume training with my coach,” Brezina said. “I want to thank Viktor Petrenko for all his guidance. He is a wonderful coach and we remain on very good terms.”

In my opinion, he couldn't show and will never prove himself with Petrenko. This is the right decision.

I agree, a change could be good for him. I really like Michal and have always been a little disappointed with his results. If he can get his consistency under control I think he could do well in this sport. Hoping this is a move in the right direction!

According to the latest interview Michal is training in Oberstdorf and have chosen music from "Game of Trones" for his SP (I am so excited- I love that theme!) and "Figaro" by Mozart for LP. Choreography for the Mozart program is done by Salome Brunner who was in charge of the most of Stephane Lambiel programs throughout his career so I can't wait to see the new Michal.

Belated but still - a big 'thank you' to Michal for the beautiful rendition and for representation; and huge congrats on the bronze medal. The Figaro music suits him better than any in the past, I'd say, and he's improved his expression and speed a lot. Hopefully, Lambiel can help out with the spins. The move back to Oberstdorf was a good one, apparently. Wishing Michal a great season. Keep it up! *fingers crossed*

Happy that there's a thread like this for Michal
I'm glad that he did so well at CoR and I hope he keeps doing as well the rest of the season! (Glad that he's using Lambiel for choreography and everything. He's awesome)

I wasn't a fan of his LP prior to CoR, but he certainly proved me wrong! Is his next assignment at Europeans?

Loved Michal's SP on Wednesday! Great jumps, & I loved the improvement in speed, step sequence and spins - positions and speed alike. I like the choice of music and costumes for his programs this season too; manly, musical, and obviously suiting his style. Good luck to Michal in the FP tonight! Great to see him more relaxed than the previous years, too.

So sad for Michal... He had such great opportunities--I'll be bold and say that the judges would've been willing to put him first in both short and free, had he gone clean. And yet... he makes multiple errors and ends up in fifth place.

There will be no Game of Thrones playing in the medal ceremony...

Whatever happened? (this is more in the nature of a rhetorical question, since I'll probably find out later anyway) I was so shocked to see him so far down the standings! I mean, if he'd slipped down to his customary 4th, but... Just flabbergasted.

Oh, Michal - why does have to happen when you have two programs I love - both of them my favourites of any programs I've ever seen you do? Just come back and skate pristine clean at Worlds', all right? I want those programs done justice to - and you know you can do it, darn it!
