I really love this program. I am not sure if they ever skated it clean, but it is mesmerizing to me ( no pun intended!):

Steigler/Zimmerman-Sorcerer's Apprentice-1997 Nationals

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ag8yPacfJA

and I love this pro program by Yuka Sato. It is a cure for depression for me:

I Love You Always Forever:

Also had to add this :

Toller Cranston Graduation Ball 1975

I also love G and G's "Crazy for You."

Love the flair of this thread and of the posts you all provided! :)
(great positivity after all the Sochi debate madness! And great thrills delivered on a silver platter, just 1 click away! thanks everyone!)
Akiko's ChSq at the end of her O FS: that was pure beauty and happiness flying on ice  (3:50 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOuaUMgFOcg )
Lu Chen's Nagano Olympic long program is chill worthy. But her in a triple-triple at the end and her reaction to a job well done is mega chill worthy.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Shen/Zhao '03.

This whole program. Especially the last footwork sequence. Always, always gives me chills.
Well, truth be told, I haven't seen much of Dube/Davison, probably just one or two performances beside this one, and I've heard they were quite the inconsistent pair too, but this performance really was something special. Especially that last lift...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWD2L1qRSLo
All of the above!
This was so cool! :) I've never seen that before! Thanks!

Katarina Witt 1987 WC Maria/West Side Story The circumstances had a big role in making this so epic: after having lost the WC the prior year to Debi Thomas, she came to the US and had to skate right after Thomas' great performance: Thomas only made 1 slight mistake (2-footed 3Lo) with the identical technical content and the pressure was so huge for Witt who skated her strongest skate ever with 5 triples. (Very different to both Olympics where she didn't need the 3Lo to win) The moment where she landed her 3Lo gave me chills, and then again after her last 2A, when she was "really" through.
Katarina Witt 1994 OG SP The beautiful emotional atmosphere in the rink at the end, combined with Hamilton's "She makes me love this sport" comment at the perfect time, gave me chills. (the 4.9 by the US judge did give me chills too, actually!)
Katarina Witt 1994 World Professionals Schindler's List (inspiration for Lipnitskaya?) A German skating to Schindler's List, portraying the little girl, now grown up, with such intensity, gave me chills.
Chen Lu 1996 WC SP Spring Breeze, such a delicate and silent music to accentuate the emotion - just hitting the note at 2:30 gave me chills.
Chen Lu 1996 WC Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 The few seconds of intensity and just goosebumps at the 2:40 mark gave me chills.
Tanja Szewczenko 1997 GPF it's the whole back story (she almost died due to a combo of viruses, couldn't skate for over a year and wasn't expected to ever come back. and oh boy, she did. that brought tears to the eyes of the commentators - and me!) that made this performance give me chills.
Sophie Moniotte & Pascal Lavanchy 1998 Olympics FD to Riverdance. It was their last amateur appearance, a farewell, she had come back from a serious injury and they knew they had been completely dropped by their federation (Gailhaguet, anyone?) as a bargaining chip to advance Anissina/Peizerat as much as possible. I had chills watching their flowy, emotional way of skating riverdance - compared to Bourne/Kraatz's more technical, 'stiff' riverdance the same year.
Aliona Savchenko & Robin Szolkowy's first EC win to "Mission" (always a perfect music to get emotion!) - that was perfect, and at that time, people were still just discovering them. That gave me chills. So did their very ambitiously choreographed Pina FS in 2011.
Takahiko Kozuka's FS to Guitar Concierto by Michael Kamen gave me chills. I love his skating and had never heard that music before - I think it's absolutely amazing! Same for his FS to Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Such a delicate quality to the whole program. His step sequence at 4:20, where he captured the mood of the music so well (wind, flowy movements with the arms and the whole body) gave me chills.
Sarah Meier 2011 EC Love in the time of Cholera Plagued by injury, she only came to the 2011 EC because they were in Switzerland, to say "goodbye" to her fans. She didn't think she could medal. She won. Watch to the very end of the vid, her reaction to the marks and then to the placement, and tell me you didn't choke up! That gave me chills.
Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje's 2012 FS to Je suis malade. Their emotional involvement in the theme of the music gave me chills. That, and seeing Anjelica Krylova tear up at 5:00 :)
Yuzuru Hanyu's 2012 WC FS to R&J. The musical build-up and his scream at 4:20 gave me chills.
Jeremy Abbott skating his Exogenesis program clean. Whether the 1st year, or the 2nd with slightly changed music. The hand on the ice during his step sequence (at 4:40 here) gives me chills.
Akiko Suzuki's Phantom of the Opera FS at the 2014 Japanese Nationals gave me chills - breathtaking all the way.

:agree: I absolutely love that program of their's!!! It is an all-time favorite of mine!!

Also because I don't think these have been mentioned here and I love them:

12/13 FD: "Humanity in Motion" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mYmOGtkN54 - Really beautiful program and music...

And then this is an exhibition they did to "Vole" by Celine Dion, but I absolutely love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSesLHDnLCw

A 16 year old Michelle choreographed this program (to Tori Amos' "Winter") by herself, in honor of her late friend Harris Collins, brother of Tom Collins who owned the Champions on Ice tour. Harris was good friends with Michelle and managed all the skaters on the tour.

To this day I still think it's either her best or 2nd best exhibition ever. There are some beautiful choreographic nuances.

:agree:

Shen & Zhao @ 2003 Worlds. We were so lucky to be there!

Paul Wylie's JFK program

Meryl & Charlie's Samson & Delilah @ 2009 Worlds. They should have been on the podium!

Midori Ito @ the 1988 Olympics. If there were figures back then, I strongly feel that she would have been on the podium. Her joy when she landed her triple axel during the 1992 Olympic free skate.

Todd @ 1996 Worlds + putting the gold medal on his mom after the ceremony, and his whole competition @ 2001 Worlds. To this day, I cannot forgive the 3 judges who put him in 7th (!) place after the short. What were they thinking? IMHO, he deserved no less than silver @ those worlds I don't care about quads to the exclusion of everything else).

Sarah Maier winning Europeans

Rudy Galindo winning 1996 US Nationals (no hard feelings @ all that he beat "my" Todd)

This one gave me chills today, especially the lift at 4:08.

Henna Lindholm & Ossi Kanervo, FD Finlandia Trophy 2013

I wasn't going to post it here because first I just put it down to nationalistic bias (nobody's immune, it seems  ) but then they went to the kiss'n'cry and I went :jaw: Marina Zueva? Had no idea. No wonder I liked the choreo. Apparently they train at Canton in the low season - wonder how they can afford it? I'm assuming they have some sponsors and get some national lottery cash as well...Ice dance is no bigger here than singles or pairs (do we have pairs even?), but I'm thinking they're wanting to make them into the next Rahkamo & Kokko...

I'll add these to the many great programs here:

John Curry - "After All"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXJqsoFwUic

Toller Cranston 1980-1981 World Professional AP
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otH4Ed1IjUQ

Toller Cranston --" Romeo and Juliet on Ice" - 1982
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=032DwlgcNHo

Thanks for these, especially Toller's Romeo and Juliet! Isn't he the ideal Tybalt?

When you look at Curry and Cranston and realize that they weren't really following in anyone's footsteps--they were the beginning of true interpretive skating for men, blending athleticism and artistry--you understand how extraordinary they were. I'm only sorry that by all accounts they disliked each other, because together they could have really come up with some extraordinary productions. I don't mean necessarily by skating together, because their styles were so different, but by collaborating somehow. Most older Americans first became skating fans because of some ladies skater, either Peggy Fleming, Janet Lynn, Dorothy Hamill, or Kristi or Michelle. With me it was exactly when I discovered Curry and Cranston.

Yulia has a new fan video out everyday it seems and we're posting them in her fan page like little maniacs :yay: This one is really cool and shows how gifted this little one is. Very cool song and the video is put together extremely well. It's only 2 minutes so quick and easy..right?

http://youtu.be/73DkdO75piw

If we're talking chills then this one is it for me at least. It shows the season from a very unique view. The moments before and after her skates and the emotions involved in competing and preparing for a very tiring season. The music is also good and sells the concept. I'm clearly a fan of hers but I think even non-fans can get into these two videos.

http://youtu.be/H5iQQHqIEss

I'd love to see other fan videos too. I'm sure her fanbase isn't alone in overindulging in fandom :slink:

Gordeeva and Grinkov, "Vocalise"

I'm sure all of these performances are great but I do wonder how many Gordeeva/Grinkov performances in here would be considered "spine-tingling" if we hadn't lost him so tragically?

Not necessarily a program, but a moment in a program - Joshua Farris' Schindler's List step sequence. It didn't matter what else happened in the program at any time he did it - that step sequence was just perfection and got me right in the feels every single time. I always got really angry whenever any of the commentators talked through it. And it was good to see that it always got a warm appreciative clap from the audience no matter where he was.

He says he wants to make us bawl this season. Well, I was already sobbing by the end of it at Nationals this season, so, uh, I may need some help next season...
