Skaters who have used classical ballet music

If possible can you find youtube from any era that skaters use classical ballet music? It would be fun to see how different skaters interpret same music over time. TY.

Interesting thread! It's kinda hard to find some videos since ballet music is overused in fs so I'll just post some that I know of and watched

Glazunov's The Seasons is a ballet, and that's the music that Virtue/Moir used for their free dance this year.

John Curry and Viktor Petrenko both skated to Don Quichotte (Don Quixote) by Minkus.

Annissina and Piezerat skated to Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

Several skaters have used music from Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian, includiing Bechke and Petrov.

Oksana Baiul was never one of my favorites, but the "Dying Swan" program linked above by sunny_skates is truly something special. IIRC, she used it @ the '94 Olys. I was rooting for Nancy Kerrigan but the "Swan" reconciled me to Oksana winning the OGM.

Mao Asada's Swan Lake was beautiful- particularly her step sequence. That I took as her interpreting Odile's fouettes.

So far I can't think of any time when a skater or a couple used the waltz from Prokofiev's Cinderella, which is a gorgeous haunting piece.

Angela Nikodinov used some of the waltz in her 1997 free program.

I feel sure that I've heard more of it in some skating program somewhere, but I can't remember which one.

Jacqueline Petr/Mark Janoschak 1992 FD and Midori Ito 1996 used other parts of the score.
