Because it's off-season and because we have too many hot men in the figure skating world!

On behalf of Sandpiper's idea, I open this thread so we can all celebrate the beauty of our favorite men. ;)

Please comment the name of your favorite skaters (plural is welcome) along with the links of your favorite photos so we can all enjoy their beauty together!

As for me, you guys can enjoy my avatar!

Well...where to begin? I love this topic

Plushy is not the most conventionally handsome, but he's the epitome of attractive to me. I mean, just look at this: http://37.media.tumblr.com/6f3fc4abb1d74946bafac0129c7289c5/tumblr_n1se27fhrk1qedt84o1_500.jpg

Maxim Trankov is stunningly good-looking of course...and Stephane Lambiel...so here's a photo of them both: http://24.media.tumblr.com/f628111426dd7b66f7f9613e8cf1c397/tumblr_n5ec2142XP1qedt84o1_500.jpg

Daisuke Takahashi is always easy on the eyes http://31.media.tumblr.com/a78de6f62f987d34f45a51c852944b9f/tumblr_mwwccgSsOE1r1yaqpo2_500.png

(A thought: can we adopt Maks Chmerkovsky as an honorary skater? After all, he partnered Meryl Davis....)

I would fully support that! It's too bad that "Skating With The Stars" only got one season. Granted, the first season wasn't that great, but it would be cool if Meryl and Maks got an opportunity to turn the tables and she could teach him to skate.

Shout out to Panpie and Olympia for inspiring the thread as well. ;)

Ilia Kulik seems often overshadowed by his more famous Russian compatriots (Yagudin, Plushenko, even Urmanov). But in the looks department, he's my pick among the Russian men. I mean: http://xiaym.tripod.com/pic.jpg If only he hadn't worn the worst outfit ever for his Olympic-winning long program... I think his looks would be better remembered.

Stephane Lambiel is very handsome as well. And he has the cutest accent! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_i3GSjxmHy...VamXyovCXE/s640/lambiel+ne+me+quitte+oas.jpeg

For an "oldie" pick of someone before my time, but whose good looks have been immortalized by video... I think Christopher Dean looked very dashing during his competitive days. http://georgesjournal.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/olympic_lore_sarajevo_1984_torvill_and_dean.jpg Not that he's bad-looking today either.

I am attracted to guys with darker coloring so mine are Scott Moir, Max Aaron, Alex Shibutani, and Max Aaron though Jeremy Abbott has beautiful eyes.

But Ilia Kulik is the hottest animal in the zoo. ;)

@Meoima
But Mishin tends to raise students since they were boys. How would he know which ones would grow up hot? Perhaps Mishin has some kind of "Magic Eye"?

Is there room in the zoo for an adorable Brazilian (by way of France) tiger? http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nc_B5Jlhv...H5eIg0twLCo/s640/florent+amodio+ugh+tiger.jpg

I think there are simply a lot of good-looking skaters from Russia, period. Sergei Grinkov deserves a mention...what a man he was...

And if we are focusing strictly on looks (not trying to open a can of worms here), Fedor Andreev was an Abercrombie model with a rather nice face. http://www.fanpix.net/picture-gallery/fedor-andreev-picture-12172532.htm

LOL at the double endorsement for Max Aaron. :agree: No wonder ... he undoubtedly has caused many appreciative double-takes among ladies young and old.
Same for Scott Moir. :)

Yes to Alex Shibutani and a gazillion others.

Sorry, Olympia, you know what my vote would be.

The funny thing is that BusyMom wondered in the ladies thread why figure skating is full of beauties (or at least some of us would say so).
Because of her post, the thought crossed my mind (just my opinion) that as far as looks go, the DWTS pros as a group (both ladies and men, such as MC) cannot hold a candle to all of our beautiful skaters. YMMV.
Just sayin' that the skating phenomenon does seem real.

Lol, maybe it's in their contracts: every male figure skater needs to dress as an animal at least once. Urmanov, Johnny, and Plush took the easy route of being swans. Ilia, Florent, and Stephane scoff at your fluttery birds and decide to be gigantic mammals!

Ah, Sergei Grinkov... He wasn't even the type of guy I usually fangirl over, but he was so successful at his own brand of handsome that he definitely deserves a mention (or a hundred mentions).
