I like it both ways, but the "mop of curls" suite it him on the ice and is part of the "Meryl and Charlie" persona

I thought the twitter back and forth was funny. Meryl tweeted that she was going to shave his head when he wasn't looking. I like it both ways but think short is better. I also like the porn stache he is working. I don't think that their persona was built on a hairstyle from either of them.

Personally, I love his curls. That being said, his new haircut is nice too, imo. Technically this cut isn't really all that short.....so it doesn't seem like that big of a difference to me. It's not like he got it buzzed or a bowl cut or something - now either of those would be like different, lol

Coltrocks12 - Also, their persona wasn't built completely on hair styles, I'd agree, haha. Their personas were built from what they portrayed on ice and off in interviews and such. This all being said, Marina definitely did have them transform their hair styles and colors to what they are now....and imo, this transformation was positive...they're just a little bit more striking. I give props to Marina for this.

And Charlie's hair does have a twitter account, lol.....so crazy as it sounds, people do love his normal curly do to a unique level, haha (secretly I don't blame these people...he can rock his skating-season hair super well)

I liked his mop of curls, but it's a nice change. Sometimes cuts can go very, very wrong but this was done nicely! It's strange seeing Charlie without his curls though! haha

His hair's twitter tweeted Ow after the cut. Jason's ponytail, which also has a twitter acount, worries whether it is next on the block.

Charlie always cuts his hair for the summer. It hasn't made the news in previous years, though.

Aw, I liked the old haircut better. I think it looked more youthful, vigorous and unique. Not everyone has hair like that.

I like it. Every now and then you just need a change and this is a VERY nice change.

Wow. Charlie went from cute and adorable to pretty gorgeous with that haircut.

(As an aside, I also thought Adam Rippon's hotness factor increased significantly after he cut the curls off.)

I think Jason said he was keeping the ponytail because it's kind of become his calling card.

He needs a little more off the top. The sculptured "whoosh" looks dated and unnatural.

His hair sure caught my attention when I noticed D&W for the first time during this Olympics, but I think he's handsome either way. I imagine if they perform on ice in the future, he may grow the curls back. (Just guessing.)
