Hey there. If you want so, I would introduce some very very young skaters from s.korea. Maybe you didn`t heard about all of these skaters cuz I also knew them few days ago :p

Young YOU http://youtube.com/watch?v=MvmhGUbpUII

Goeun PARK http://youtube.com/watch?v=fwbbt4yyDKQ
she born in august 2002. she also has really good presentation skill for her age.

Eunsoo LIM http://youtube.com/watch?v=r0XH7UOomYw
I looove her charming points! She is very LOVELY skater.

Unless something has happened within the past month, Anna is definitely not retiring. A few weeks ago, she sent me a PM asking if I knew of any competitions in August. This prompted me to start a thread on here asking that very question, but I was very dismayed and upset that there was only one proper reply.

Anyway, apart from this, she was really excited about her GP allocation at the NHK trophy. And she has been posting quite a few photos of her on the ice at Oberstdorf recently.
Good.
My info is earilier, so it means nothing now.

That is a real pity, as I really thought Kristina had a lot of potential.
But lack of inspiration.

Back in December, I posted a link in Adelina's Fan Fest thread to a video that some of the CSKA skaters had made to mark Adelina's birthday. Unfortunately, that particular link doesn't work any more, but somebody posted the same video to YouTube a few months ago.

Сборы 2013)

For me, Adelina and Kristina were the standout stars of this video. So, it is a real shame that while one of them is now an Olympic Gold Medallist, the other has just quietly disappeared from the skating scene.

All the best to whatever Kristina gets up to in the future

It always saddens me a bit to read about two people in any fields starting out as being promising, and then one went on to become the real deal while the other slowly disappeared. Personal drive, management and luck matter as much as raw talent.

What about Titushkina? Really liked her in the 2012 JGP, then she got injuried and almost disappeared... Has she competed at all this past season?

Titushkina did not compete at 2013/2014 season, but no info that she retired. Maybe we will see her at 2014/2015.

I preferred Stavitskaya. I hope she will do some B competitions, do well and perhaps get GP event in the future. Although not much chance - if she doesn't get GP event this season, she is out of lack because the season after that there are 4 newcomers (Medvedeva, Proklova, Sotskova and Sakhanovich).

Any news on Gerasimova?

Evgenia GERASIMOVA most probably retired.

Alexandra PROKLOVA did not restore after injury. She practices, but not in full level. She may miss JGP Events (no really serious problems, but may be not ready to JGP).
Elizaveta IUSHENKO has problems with coach - she has not permanent coach for now, so may be not so good.

Maria STAVITSKAIA may have JGP this season if in good state.

Diana PERVUSHKINA (same age as Lipnitskaia or Edmunds) may have JGP debut this season. She has good jumps (jumping set in FS as Radionova or Polina Edmunds), skating skills and all other were boor, but she progresses. She may become interesting skater.

Why doesn't she change coaches? She wouldn't be the first one or the last one. Things happen. If it doesn't work, move on. Considering her results last season, I am sure other coaches would be more than happy to have her.

What about Sotskova? She had meniscus injury at the end of last season.

Any news on how much more time Proklova needs? If she got event 6 and 7, that would give her another few months.

Something recently occurred that made me want to bump this thread. I noticed that in discussion of the Philadelphia Summer Championships, a US club competition, everyone was talking about a young man named Andrew Torgashev. He is referenced in Lynn Rutherford's article here:

http://www.icenetwork.com/news/2014/07/21/85572800

Anyway, I went to go search for some programs of his and was pretty impressed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrjOdUw--WQ

ETA: Noticed Andrew is listed as an alternate for the first JGP event.

Andrew is a 13 year old from Florida training out of Panthers. His dad, a former champion, is his coach. Dad also coaches Francesca Chiera - Francesca and Andrew are mentioned frequently as "training partners." For a young man who placed at Novice last season, he has some big tricks and a developing style that really captures your attention. Lynn Rutherford was right on point with him.

I fell in love with this very young skating pair:

Jasmine and Joshua Fendi, 2014 U.S. juvenile champions. They both are something like 12 years old (twins) but their level is definitely beyond their age. Great presentantion, lovely technique (especially good unison and nice lifts - Josh is quite strong). I hope we will see them on higher level soon :)

French skaters Angelique ABACHKINA/Louis THAURON have changed coaches from Zazoui to Shpliband/Bourzat.
They are rising French stars and this could be a break out season with this great coaching team behind them.

Another French team of junior to look out for is Sarah Marine ROUFFANCHE/Geoffrey BRISSAUD who are cousins, which is an unusual combination.
They will be competing in the first JGP in Courchevel this weekend.
