So Vik Baldwin is really moving up. I know he's worked with Yulia before but he was her coach at the Test skate and now is he the main coach going with Serafima to Japan.

I wish one day she will skate to heavy metal and make the judge all across the board.

    Serafima's FS in Japan: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lDK8n8cSCwU

Eteri really seems to teach her students mental strength as well as physical!
When other skaters miss a jump they missed it- whoops. The end.
But when Yulia or Serafima do so they think on the ice and put it somewhere else

Do you think that Serafima intended to do 2A+2T? I liked this combo in Slovenia, it matches music very well.

Yep she probably did, but got off line on the 2A (that's why she kinda made a turn on the landing) and then corrected it by doing 3Lz-2T.

Edit: Wait a minute. .. the more often I watch it... might as well have been deliberate since it looks so easy. That would be even better What do you think?

Yes. I like that attitude very much.
Think quick, don't let the whole thing be conditioned by a mistake.

    Serafima is just amazing

I love how she sells the story. If you watch at the beginning she is distraught about her love leaving her and she looks at the ring and kind of sulks around for some time but as she eventually gets over it she becomes happy and shows it. Just watching how well she can change her range of emotions from the start to the finish so gradually and so well is great to see. She messed up the 2a and still popped out of it into a fiercely happy girl well on her way to the next thing. In this case a 3lz-2t. Just wow. I really like this program.

I don't have a certain opinion, 50/50. But I hope she will keep 2A combo

Yulia said about it (after Euros) that she had to "work as calculator" in order to hitch appropriate jumps.

It looks not awkward at all.

All right fine .. Have fun today on the ice but can you please take your off ice training a little more serious. No goofing off.

She explained it in the interview: "at first the heart is broken but then go to the disco at the night club - life will turn for the better". It is so easy at that age....
