Arina PETROVA ARM - well-known girl from StPetersburg.
Born 07 May 1998, coach Eugene Rukavitsin.
At JrNats 2011, 2012, 2013 respectively 14, 15, 17 place, i.e being elder had worse results.
At season 2013/2014 - best score in StPetersburg competitions 123.41, did not compete at Russian national level.
International - Cup of Nice 2011 3rd Junior Ladies http://www.nice-baie-des-anges.fr/images/stories/docs-coupe/resultats2011/html/index.htm (here are protocols also)

Diana PERVUSHKINA RUS - born 22 Jun 1998, Toliatti sity (at Volga river).
Nationals Elder Age 2013 7th (151.89)
At 2013/2014 season - Nationals 13th (149.14), Final of Russian Cup 2014 4th (158.62), Nationals Elder Age 2014 3rd (161.47).
All five triples, 3Lz+3T, 3F+3T, 3F+1Lo+3S Combos, two 3+3 Combos in FS, moderately good jumps (for Russia, where are Radionova, Sotskova, Sakhanovich, Pogorilaya etc.).
Not so good all the other - skating skills, spins etc., but became better from previous season.

Unfortunately Russia has only one high-level girl with first 2014/2015 Junior season Anastasia KOLOMIETS, so elder girls may chance to try themselves at JGP.
Junior Ladies for JGP:
1. Splendid Four - Sotskova, Sakhanovich, Proklova, Medvedeva.
(Proklova may not be ready for JGP because of injury)
2. New Name Anastasia KOLOMIETS
3. Elder girls Alsu KAIUMOVA, Elizaveta IUSHENKO (silver medalist of JP Event 2013), Diana Pervushkina.
4. Maybe Natalia Ogoreltseva, Maria Stavitskaia etc.
Probably more than 7 girls. So girls who have not medal at their first JGP Event, have poor chance to second.

Most probably on JGP Final will pretend only Rissian girls and from USA Amber Glenn and Karen Chen (if Karen restored after injury), also Da Bin Choi KOR, Wakaba Higuchi JPN.

Thank you for your post AlexRus :)
JGP Ljubljana 2014 girls are stronger than JGP Courchevel 2014 girls.
Such a strong competition for girls from Russia ... just to take part at 1 JGP you must be very strong.

AlexRus do you know something more about:
- Arina PETROVA how is she connected to Armenia?
- Polina USTINOVA (CYP)
Elena RIVKINA (ISR)?
Are they from Russia too? ... but not good enough to be part of the Russia team?

Arina PETROVA how is she connected to Armenia?
I don't know.
Maybe, relatives in Armenia or Armenian nation of mother or father - often it is so.

Polina USTINOVA (CYP)
She is not known in Russia.

Elena RIVKINA (ISR)
Club "Silver Sharks", Moscow.
At 25-26 Oct 2012 she competed at "Maria BUTYRSKAYA Prize" (Junior), 13-th place, score 98.27.
No other significant competitions.
In Russia skaters of this level are known only for friends and relatives.

Are they from Russia too? ... but not good enough to be part of the Russia team?
Elena Rivkina - yes.
Russia has too many high-level skaters.
Figure skating is popular in Russia, there are about 20 sports schools with figure skating only in Moscow. Hundreds of skaters in Moscow and I don't know how many thousands in Russia.
40-50 girls (9-10 years old) and 25-30 girls 11-12 years old in Moscow compete to qualify to Nationals Younger Age (younger and elder groups).
And only 7-8 girls from Russia compete at JGP Events.

Samantha Cesario competed at JGP being 19 years old.
Leah Keiser at Ljubljana Cup will be only 16. Boyang Jin too. Both will be 1 or 2 months before 17th birthday.

Yes, but what I mean is that they already have a lot of experience, high-level junior skaters don't often compete in the JGP for many years, especially now that you can't compete in both JGP and GP... But I guess that Leah wants to come back after last year's not-so-good season and obtain some good results and that Boyang wants a medal at Junior Worlds, finally!

Leah had a serious injury and had not fully recovered last year. Also returning from injury: Hannah Miller, 17 and still JGP-eligible. Hannah recently scored 117+ in the FS of a summer comp. Looks like both Leah and Hannah are now fully recovered and ready to roll.

Leah Keiser has no chance to GP, so JGP is a good solution.

Boyang Jin - it is normal for him to be at JGP. Men move to Seinors in elder age than Ladies.

Yes, Hannah Miller deserves JGP, I believe.
And what about Tyler Pierce? She was not so good at JrWorlds, but at JrNats was significantly better than Ashley Shin and Bradie Tennell.

There seems to be a mistake with Daniel Albert Naurits listed to represent France instead of Estonia.

Georgia has a new male skater, that is good to see.

I am very surprised to see Krzysztof Gała (Polish skater who competed at JGP and Junior Worlds last season and who can land 3a, 4t and 4s in practice) not listed even as a substitute.

Thumbs up to Hirst/Fearnley from Great Britain for skating to Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in their SD. Very "Dancing with the Stars." :D

Leah Keiser scored 64.25 in the SP at the Glacier Falls Summer Classic, 2nd behind Polina Edmunds. Gracie Gold, who had just returned from touring in Japan, was 3rd with 63.

Leah should be a contender in the Ljubljana competition!

Leah popped FS. 81.69 (technical score 35.07).
6th in FS, 4th Total, with withdrawn after SP Gracie Gold, Karen Chen, Barbie Long etc.
