2014-15 Battle of the Phantoms of the Opera!

It was suggested in the Lombardia Trophy thread that we create a thread for our favorite skaters to battle out for the title of 2014-15 Best Phantom of the Opera Program! I figured, why do we need to wait until the end of the season? Some programs have yet to be revealed but we have already seen a number, including quite a couple from Lombardia Trophy this weekend. I thought I'd start the thread off. Here are the ones we've see so far:

Kanako Murakami is doubling down on POTO and rumored to be skating to POTO music for BOTH her short and long. The free program from Japan Open is linked above. The uploader actually pieced together all the bits of his FS from various news clips and tried to form a "prediction" of sorts. I watched his/her prediction videos for Yuzuru's R&J 2 and they were quite accurate so I think this might be close to the real thing too.

We will find out next month! The butt mask from the Yuzu thread is still giving me nightmares! :bang:

On the other hand, I like MCMs POTO costume and music cut.

Honestly I'm waiting for Yuzuru's costume. Mura, MCM and Jun Hyoung's do not look bad but they are too generic imo

POTO is the new Carmen.
Honestly, while I hope that some of these are skated well (like Chan, D/W, P/T), the ISU should put periodic bans on overused music to prevent our being weary of the same pieces.
E.g. POTO used x # of times this year, once the limit is reached, they say it is illegal to use it the following season, then bring it back again the year after.
Otherwise it becomes lazy, dull and run-of-the-mill, and does not advance the sport.

Knowng his taste, let's expect the weirdest costume of POTO ever! I am sure the judges will not take their eyes off his costumes.

I've given up on his costumes already.

I would love it if they allowed him to wear the mask for his performances.
At least we can safely guess that he won't wear bedazzled fake Christmas lights again like he did last season.

I once had a dream where Yuzu did "Braveheart" while wearing a kilt (thank goodness he was wearing tights underneath). I think it's a combination of watching too many skating clips on YouTube while staying up late trying to find out about the Scotland vote last week.

Well, had he worn a real kilt in competition, that would have been a relief. :laugh:

I am sure he would look good in once, though.
