Worst pairs event so far out of three GPs. But the battle for podium will be brutal.

You know, earlier today I was regretting my predictions for pairs.

I thought "I must have been mad predicting an all Chinese podium. We all know that the Chinese have a strong tradition in Pairs, but surely Bazarova / Deputat or della Monica / Guarise will get amongst them..."

Now I'm wondering if I've done something very clever...!!!

You were just being truthful to your truth, which is true.

That would've happened only if the chinese bombed.

I was thinking B/D might sneak on the podium but after seeing their debut earlier this season where they bombed their SBS jumps, I figured there's no way.

IMO, Purich/Wolfe should definitely be ahead of them.

I do think Peng and Zhang were a bit overmarked - it appears with these marks they are a world medal threat and no. 1 possibly in china which is possible I guess. There are several teams within a couple of points of silver and bronze so things could change there. The results show you the instability in pairs right now.
