When I look at this line-up, I am glad that I am not trying to predict who is going to win this competition!

Satoko and Gracie seem to have the most chance here. But Satoko will skate at her home ice with no jet lag like Gracie, and given the fact that she's consistent, I think there's a high possibility that she might be in GPF.

I think the podium will be: Satoko, Gracie and Edmunds.
That will be my favorite podium too.

No matter who is on the podium, I only hope judges can be consistent, especially with under rotations. I watched again Satoko's SC LP and to my very unsophisticated eyes many of her jumps, especially those in combinations are under-rotated, but not called. It would be unfair if only Mirai is called, or Kanako, especially those two have much bigger jumps.

Miyahara's some jumps at SC were not as good as JO. If she could do as usual UR wouldn't be the problem. I think you Americans, better not place too much hopes on that. I'm expecting something around 198 points in Osaka.

Exactly what I'm predicting the podium to be.

I like her too.
Well, even if she comes 4rth is a good result. I'm glad she's having the chance for a second GPF.

I would LOVE to see Elene on the podium. It's such a shame her form is so in & out.
The way she skated in 2006 was so amazing, I had such high hopes for her.
Does anyone know if she is staying around for just this season or until the next Olympics ?. I would love to see her skate in 4 Olympic Games.
There can't be too many woman who have achieved this, is there any ?.

I actually think she gets scrutinized more than others because she is known to have "small" jumps. I know one of the commentators for SC mentioned that he thought she rotated most of her jumps, fast--albeit low.

Kind of hoping Daleman shows some fight and comes on strong in the short just as not to be over shadowed by Alaine. Yes this is a tougher event than Alaine had but still if she wants to stay ahead internationally she needs to be top 4 after the short. I mean it must really be killing her that Alaine had an easier event and was able to win the short and end up with a GP medal.
Cause if Kaetlyn is not ready for Nationals one of these two should be the new Can Champ.

This is the one Satoko is practically guaranteed a podium finish.
It will be interesting to see how Satoko will place with Kanako in Japan. Between the two, I prefer Kanako's SP, and Satoko's LP.

Good luck Zijun (No more ridiculous 4s in her PCS), Gracie, Kanako!!!
Polina, Alena may be the dark horse here! I just want Christine Gao to have a good skate...feel kind of bad for this Harvard almost 'it' girl.

The Technical Specialist for the Ladies is Olga Baranova, who was also the TS for the ladies at Cup of Russia. I looked up the FS protocol and saw that she gave lots of URs but not many edge calls. That is good for Polina and Gracie, but not so good for Satoko and Kanako.

Hoping for Zijun to have clean skates. Hopefully she doesn't land 3F-3T and then proceeds to bomb the rest of the program.

My favorite ladies are Murakami and Leonova here. Hoping they can both skate clean and medal!!

But I think it will be Satoko and Gracie getting gold and silver, respectively.
