How much is the total prize money that all the athletes get from the ISU on an annual basis? Is it as much as the $17 million that the ISU has lost in TV revenues? I highly doubt it. Therefore, the ISU powers-that-be would be faced with taking additional cost-cutting measures to accommodate this financial shortfall (we all know they have a serious problem with reality checks...they all live in a perpetual state of denial).
I would think that the loss of that $17 million is sufficient to cause the ISU powers-that-be some real pain, and I am in favor of anything that will make them uncomfortable. Of course, curtailing their "perks" is the last thing they would do...we all know that.
