Please put your opinions here for pairs, dance, or singles(womens). I am trying to find inspiration for my season Sp dress. Thanks

Well, for best, I would have said Patrick Chan "Take Five", but that won't help your costume.

Although I don't follow ladies, I found Lu Chen skating to "Take Five" in 1997. Not a great performance, but IMO the costume was sophisticated and appropriate.

It's not my fave performance of hers but Gold skated Chicago in her exhibition number. I'm sure there are a ton of ice dance jazz numbers.

Can't remember but I think Jeff Buttle did Take 5 too. Chan is still the best though.

Oksana Baiul skated to All that Jazz choreographed by Sarah Kawahara in 1998.

I think Elena Ilinykh's costume in the 2014 SD was very inspired by 20s fashion.

Rakhamo and Kokko's costumes in the 1995 Original Dance were also very 20s.

Wow, and Simon Rattle orchestration too!

I found two threads in FSU on Skating to Jazz (none here, maybe looking in the wrong places). I'm not sure if endless rounds of "In the Mood" qualifies as jazz, but it might be a start:

http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/index.php?threads/the-influence-of-jazz-on-figure-skating.86505/

ETA: the FSU threads link to and mention more than "in the mood" including the dance noted below by Golden and a professional skate by Tara and Ilia.

Alright thank you so much! Also, I really like Elena Ilyinkhs headpiece from the jazz SD. do you think it'd match or to classical?

Gracie's "Three Preludes" (abandoned SP) dress is my fav from her ever. design is jazzy and modern.

You are welcome, but all I did was link. I am not really a good one to ask about ladies' costumes, I am not a big follower and I am too old to know what would work *today*. I did like the headpiece.

Anyone else with an opinion?

A lesser known skater from Sweden at nationals with her jazzy performance this season:

Isabelle Olsson skating to 'Let's do it' to Benny Goodman's orchestra and Peggy Leee.
