At the last US National Championships Chen fall from just one quad. And he tried only one 2A. And after that he plans three quads? Different things happens in the life, but not the same as this.

It depends on how you define "official", because this is what ISU sent to media for information. A quad in a planned SP program is not correct, but the reason lies in Pitkeev's team didn't submit the correct content to ISU instead of the source of the information.

Perhaps some of these skaters made their jump plan at the beginning of the season and simply did not care to update it. They just send the same jump plan to all competitions. So Nathan Chen might not be going for 3 quads, but that was his original plan early in the season, before his injury.
