Seriously? With the seasons these girls had, you already belittle potential wins because of the judging panel?:rolleye:
The current domination of the russian ladies has zero to do with any national constellations on senior or junior judging panels. The former dominance of asian ladies didn't either. If that means I obviously didn't learn anything from past events, that's okay with me. And I actually don't want to.

I don't believe conspiracy theories and the only ones I will read and watch videos of are of cartoons because they're not real.

PLEASE let's NOT NOT NOT talk about conspiracies of judging.

Wow, I didn't know things were getting so lively in here already! :biggrin: I was worried this break before Worlds would be a little dull here.

I actually don't care about the judging panel either... they get far too much attention as it is.

Regarding the judging panel: Sochi happened...can't blame some of us for raising some eyebrows here.

I'd imagine so, but Eurosport changes their schedule all the time so it's hard to say.

They currently list the Ladies SP at 90 minutes, but it is not labelled as "live". However, they are showing live footage of the Pairs SP (150 mins) and FS (180 mins). There are huge gaps in their programming schedule right now, so they will be filled with something soon. At that time of day, I can't imagine what else they would be airing. And beyond that, no listings have been posted for Worlds weekend so far.

And Quebec has been rumbling about separating from Canada for decades... and isn't there occasional talk of having Texas secede? ;)

And with the number of elite skaters that train in the Detroit area, I think Michigan also needs its own skating federation :biggrin:

A few updates:

Looks like Eurosport has updated their programme listings through 3/29 (subject to change, of course -- and probably will).

3/26 Ladies SP coverage is scheduled for 10:30-12:00 GMT.

3/28 Ladies FS coverage is scheduled for 11:00-12:30 GMT.

Along with Pairs, both Men SP and FS have been added to the schedule, and listed as "live". Ice Dance has been added as well, but not listed as "live".

Also, all the main coverage will be on the primary Eurosport channel (not Eurosport2, which will only air limited replays at a later date/time).

Ah, takes me back to where I would listen to live Eurosport radio coverage of Worlds early in the morning (this was before live streams)...or, if it was in NA time zone, listen to the radio coverage during a live chat session, and feeling the adrenaline rush - those were the days!

Definitely not staying up for SP coverage...depending on how the standings look for the FS, I'll decide at game time whether the FS is worth staying up for.

Absolutely not. Because contrary to what some seem to think, the scores this season have indicated that the judges are nowhere near ready to put anyone in the 78-SP, 150-LP range. Seriously, the highest SP score is 70 points and change, and the highest LP score is 141. Even with Worlds inflation, I can't see how scores can rise a full ~8 points out of nowhere. (Could the "Russians will break records" crowd explain me how this'll happen?)

The closest I see is Liza, if she performs a perfect SP with 3A and goes back to her old LP content of 3Lz-3T, 2A-3T. Even then, it would take a noticeable PCS rise--not impossible, since the judges tend to lift those when the TES rises, but still a remote possibility at best.
