why do skating fans refer to music like this : moonlight sonata by liberace...

as it is clearly beethoven who wrote it... i mean it's nice credit is given to the performer but the composer should be mentioned.... at least, it would allow fans to search pieces by composers which is much more practical than by performers.

Fans copy over what skaters and coaches submit on their bios. It is rare to see a full description of a piece submitted with both "written by" and "performed by" info. And the ambiguous word "by" is used for both.

So it isn't just the composer who get short shrift. For example, most skating programs with music composed by members of the Beatles are performed by other artists, but they are not credited, typically.

Maybe we could say "by: *the artist who wrote it and/or originally performed it (For like newer music in a way)*," covered by/this version performed by *the artist who did that" ?

thanks... there is some education needed to be made with skaters they credit their choreographer for their programs, they should know better what if we said, and now, Seimei by Shae-Lynn Bourne and omit to say skated by Yuzu it's the same to me... give credit to who deserves it but thanks for the answer

Oy to both. I really wish Karen would try skating to something a little... more fun? She does these dramatic pieces that are really a lot older than her years, I'd love to see her do something more upbeat. (I do think she carries these programs off very well for someone her age but really, would it kill her to do something she can smile to?)

And as for Romeo and Juliet, I think no words are needed, though I will light a candle that a Leo voiceover won't be part of it at least.

1. At least OGP isn't super powerful or dramatic, which is an improvement. It's more "delicate" and lighter than most of her previous SPs.

2. It would be better if it were the ballet or the 2013 version, which are less used than the other two movie versions. (The 2013 is the least used and my favorite, so hopefully it's that.) Also crossing my fingers for no voiceovers. :yes:

Yes, I'm so sick of having the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack, especially if it's the rap music parts. Rap music and skating go together like Carly Fiorna and Donald Trump :disapp:
But I can't picture Marin choosing that kind of music
