I've been in Cyprus the past couple of weeks, and on the way out of Limassol yesterday to go to the airport, I spotted a sign saying that Polina Gagarina would be doing a concert in the town on 13[SUP]th[/SUP] October.

Typical! I go home exactly a month before it! :bang: :bang: :bang:

So, listened to this today to try to console myself about missing her.

Polina Gagarina - "Kukushka" (from the "Battle Of Sevastopol" soundtrack)

Love that song.

After reading the latest development in the "will we have an Olympics?" saga, I felt the urge to listen to this song:

Presidents Of The United States Of America - "French Girl"

I absolutely love this song. My favourite radio presenter (Gerry Anderson) played it a lot, but I hadn't heard it in years.

Well this one took me back :

Death Cab for Cutie : Grapevine Fires
https://youtu.be/H8ZUV9IBEXY

I just had a crazy weird dream that was completely mental to the point that once I recognized it was a dream I actually found a way to wake myself up and escape it. Long story cut short ;)

**snip**

This song reminds me of person from the dream. A person I haven't seen in years. Anyway....I'm going back to bed after this totally random and late night confession :bed:

Just came across this Indian girl, and she is great! Her name is Archy Jay, and she performs under the stage name "The Snake Charmer" (if you don't think too literally, you'll see why!)

Here are the songs I have listened to so far:

The Snake Charmer - "He's A Pirate"
The Snake Charmer - "Go Go Power Rangers"
THe Snake Charmer - "Thunderstruck"
The Snake Charmer - "Braveheart Theme"

Don't watch the programme, so don't know the tune too well. But, here is something for you "Game Of Thrones" fans:

The Snake Charmer - "Game Of Thrones Theme"

:cheer:   :party2: :points:

Charles Bradley (1948-2017) - Why Is It So Hard (2011, Live on KEXP)

Why is it so hard
To make it in America
I try so hard
To make it in America

A land of milk and honey
A land supposed to be built with love
It take love and understanding
To live and let live

I was born in Gainesville Florida
I traveled far and wide
Then I moved to Brooklyn, New York
Had hard times, for sometime I hold on

Why is it so hard
To make it in America
I try so hard
To make it in America

Seemed like nothing was goin' right
So I said to myself
You got to move away from here
I went to upstate New York
A little town they call Poughkeepsie
Got me a job
To get away from all this stress
But I couldn't get away
No matter how far I went
Seems like nothing gonna change
Everything still remained the same

Why is it so hard
To make it in America
I try so hard
To make it in America

Why, tell me, tell me
We gotta make a change, in America
Help me somebody

Am I the only one that started singing Craig David's "7 Days" when I read this post...?

CaroLiza_fan

heard it today - and thought about Your catch in the other thread:)

Craig David - 7 Days BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge version 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZl_ocBkbc4, the song is old, but the man does not age at all - the way he is able to control his voice AND play with it is effin' unbelievable, smooth vocals like nothing

Now I'm listening to Saturday because I clicked on the link above.
I knew Chromatics from Cherry. One day this song showed up on my Spotify and I couldn't stop listening to it!

Before clicking on Saturday, I was listening to Exit Music. I always think this would be a great music for a dramatic long program. If they did an orchestral version and edit it well to fit the time, it would be a dark and epic free skate. :dance3:
