Winkler & Lohse retire from competition

Kati Winkler and Rene Lohse have retired from competition. Winning the bronze at Worlds fulfilled a dream.

Rene's series of injuries, and their desire to move on with their personal lives and to develop new careers led to the decision. If the Olympics were next year, they might have stayed in one more year, but they can't see going on for two. They hope to be able to do some coaching as well as skating in shows for at least the next two years. Kati will also study tourism management and Rene will study sport and event management. They're both 30 and have skated together for 17 years.

Many thanks for the English summary. They have such wonderful line. I'm going to miss them.
