Angela Wang

Angela Wang is an American ladies' figure skater. She was born on July 30, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

She's been competing in the U.S. since 2005-2006 season, where she placed 7th at the juvenile level, and has been a fixture on the international scene since the 2011-2012 Junior Grand Prix Season. Angela is the 2017 Bavarian Open champion, a three-time medalist on the ISU Challenger Series, and a three-time medalist on the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Her JGP medals include gold from a 2012 JGP Croatia.

Angela has not competed since she withdrew from the 2018-19 US Championships.

Get to Know Angela Wang

I like what I see this year and I feel she will be one of our top ladies.

I'm so excited to see Angela at TEB this week! Hoping she does well

Angela will skate first in the SP at TEB!

That may be good for her nerves to get out first after her warmup, rather than waiting for the others. I have her as ending in 6th place at TEB, but I hope she surprises everyone and makes the top 5!

Angela placed 5th at Golden Spin this weekend! I will do my best to find videos and post them tonight.

Just a couple of small observations as we look forward to Angela's new season:

- Two photos of Angela now appear on Phillip Mills website. They are new, AFAIK.


- Wonder whether Angela will compete at U.S. Collegiates, which are coming up at the end of July -- this year in Colorado.

I really hope that Angela gets at least one Intl Senior B this fall. I think if she doesn't she has to go through Regionals/Sectionals. That may not be too bad - would the competitive experience at that level help her?

OMG! -Seeing Angela's SP score at Pacific Coast Sectionals may be the best figure skating news I've seen this weekend!

I must admit I didn't know Angela at all, but her performance at Finlandia was beautiful! I hope she will do well during the rest of the season Beautiful and delicate skating!

Ryan Bradley is her main coach and then Christy Krall and Erik Schulz. Damon is former coach.

Angela Wang has a Yuka Sato-esque quality to her stroking - smooth and gentle. I've followed her ever since her short program two years ago at the US International Classic.

Good luck to her! I loved her programs earlier this year, hope she will keep kating well!

I actually really like Angela, her speed and quality of edges is really impressive. And she's the 4th US lady right now in terms of PB this season!
