peggy fleming? sonia heinie?![]()
I voted Kristi... but being as how this is just a list of the 80s and 90s (oh and 02) it's really not a very good idea of what people think....
Dorothy Hamil, Peggy Flemming... Sonia Henie... (Barbara Ann Scott won too, right? or was that Worlds? I can't remember my skating history LOL)
and what do you mean by great... technical? artistic? all around? most influential?
I voted Katarina Witt, because she has won the Olympic title twice. If Sonia Henie would have been on the list, I would have voted for her.
Sonja Henie. Obviously.
Kristi Yamaguchi, I think, has shown great class and longevity as a pro. Same can't be said for Sarah or Tara. Oksana has had her troubles, and it's good to see her back. But from this rather limited list, I would say Katerina, simply because she won it twice, showed that kind of consistency and determination, and then has had a long and active pro career as well.
Kasey
Sonja or Peggy.
Sonja Henie has to be the greatest, with 3 Olympic gold medals.
From this list, I picked Katarina: two Olympic Golds, great influence, long eligible and pro careers.
