belated welcome to the board! I'll leave this topic here for now, but if this doesn't get very many hits I'll move it to the "skaters" chat area where it'll definately get attention!

There are LOTS of opportunities for adult skaters of all ages, from the purely recreational to the serious/competitive.

    US Figure Skating website:

The U.S. Adult National Championships are held every year in April. In 2004, they were in Lake Placid, NY:

    Skate Canada website: http://www.skatecanada.ca/en/skate_f...ms/adultskate/
Canada held its first-ever Adult Championships competition in late March:

Many adults also participate in the Ice Skating Institute's (ISI) recreational competitions throughout the U.S. -- ISI website: http://www.skateisi.com/

    Katya,

Are you going to compete? It is so exciting to be an adult competitive skater...it is my experience that they are so supportive of each other. I LOVE it!

    Brigitte,
I was just out looking at the CAS sire and it looks GREAT! As a newly appointed board member to our figure skating club, I am very interested in promoting adult skating, adn educating adult skaters about what it out there. I think that this website will be a great resource.
