Emi Hirai & Marien de la Asuncion

Emi Hirai (Japanese: 平井絵己) born in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan, on October 14, 1986, and Marien de la Asuncion (Japanese: マリオン・デ・ラ・アソンション), born in Lyon, France, February 6, 1989, are ice dancers who compete internationally representing Japan. Hirai and de la Asuncion are the six time Japanese silver medalists. The team trained in Lyon, France, but retired May 2017 and has not competed since the 2016-2017 season.

Japan is not a powerhouse at all in ice dance, thus this team's been suffered as the Japan's #2 and under-appreciated, I would say. I do hope they will have great seasons, so that many skating fans get to know this team and this thread will be very active in the coming years. Gooo Emi a& Marien!
