ISU has published list of nominees: http://www.isu.org/en/news-and-events/news/2017/01/isu-athletes-commission-list-of-nominees There are many which we have mentioned in this thread earlier! :cheer:

I'm actually dissapointed they ddin't published a list of all applicants first. I was curious who was nominated in each Federation. (But I'm positively suprised to see Luiza Złotkowska name for Speed Skating! Who would have thought there would be a Pole nominated?

)

Fingers crossed for the Polish and Hungarian nominees in Speed Skating & Short Track (Viktor Knoch's nominating was a surprise to me as well!).

Haven't been following this, but just saw a link on the ISU Facebook page to an announcement:

Basically, each Federation is only allowed one nominee per Branch, and since Russia had 2 nominees in the Figure Skating Branch, it had to withdraw one of them.

So, it has decided to withdraw Daria Rakhvalskaia from the Synchro and, since there is now only one nominee left, that means Nathalie Lindqvist has been elected.

Curious to see how this Commission is going to work.

So those Feds who nominated skater in Ice Dance, couldn't nominate a skater from Singles & Pairs skating? I have understood it differently, but good to know. Now I get why there was no Finnish nominee in Sychnro, since they have nominated Kiira Korpi already.

Quite unexpected for me. Btw. Gabriela Papadakis was mentioning on twitter about, how an AThlete Comissin is great idea, but it;s not good that none of the Athletes were campaigning, so voting was purely who likes whom more. Not choosing best one based on what they will try do through that Comission. And I think she had a point.

I'm also suprised my compatriot was chosen for Speed Skating :shocked:
