The purple one makes him skintone look really...olive? It's weird. Even when he's covered up in a black practice jacket his skintone still looks a little off.

These are my thoughts, only in the opposite direction: OMG those pants. Why am I staring. Nice 4Lo. Stop spinning, I'm seeing everything, goddammit. Don't pop the 4S! Those pants are giving me life. I don't even care about the color. Whoa that 3A! Butt. Legs. Pants.

My favourites this season:
Men:
Yuzuru Hanyu LP: I love the colours together, the costume reflects the music and the program, and it suits Yuzu a lot. It is also well tailored. It looks like a piece of art itself.
Misha Ge SP (the lavender one): it's beautifully tailored, I love the colour, the details on the chest are gorgeous. I love the belt-like waist, and the fluffy sleeves too. I like the black pants too. I usually like Misha's pants.
Kevin Reynolds LP: it's unique and it suits him well. Very well tailored
Mikhail Kolyada: ok it's an unpopular opinion, but see above as Reynolds. Unique, suits him and the program, and well tailored
Denis Ten SP (both the first and the new ones): both look modern and classic at the same time which make them look unusual and unique. The costumes go very well together with the music.
Shoma Uno FP: lovely details and colours.
Ladies:
Evgenia Medvedeva SP: beautiful colour. I like the white-blue skirt when she spins
Mao Asada FS: I love everything about her appearance: bostume, hair, make-up
Kaetlyn Osmond FP: Love the details, the V-neck and the scarf. It goes together with the music perfectly
Satoko Miyahara FP: I am not a fan of white but this costume is pure perfection from head to toe! :luv17:
Zijun Li FP: red is her colour. So elegant.
Elizabet Tursynbaeva FP. my favourite colour. And the details are great.
Dabin Choi SP: green is unusual but this shade is even more unusual. It suits her a lot!
Michaela-Lucie Hanzlikova FP: it looks modern and classic at the same time (the tailoring is conservative, the details are modern). Great match. And I love the deep blue colour.
Pairs:
James/Cipres FP: Because Vanessa looks perfect in the catsuit
Tarasova/Morozov FP: They look like as if they invented the time machine and came back from the 1970s. I know it's unpopular choice but this costumes look so retro and goes together with the song so well. I am also a fan of assymetric tailoring.
Ice Dance:
Papadakis/Cizeron SP and FP: looks so elegant and well tailoed. But I dislike Cizeron's sleeveless shirt in FP.
Weaver/Poje FP (both the older and new version): both of them are so elegant
I agree with Patrick Chan that fs is 'not a fashion show', but still, the costume reflects the music and the program to some extent (of course, not always). Because of this, sometimes it does count what the skater wears. This is why I don't get why Patrick was so annoyed by the journalist's question about his new FP costume. It's not the skater who designs the costume but I think they should have some opinion about what they'd like to wear (at least the colours, maybe the details).

costumes which turned my head this season/fit extraordinary within program or music/are just exquisitely made (for some all 3 are applicable):
- Kaitlyn Weaver newest FD Aranjuez dress - http://wpmedia.ottawacitizen.com/20...-the-senior-dance-f.jpeg?quality=55&strip=all, when she stepped at warm-up at Canadian Nats I dropped my coffee cup, literally, being dazzled on spot. Not only the dress is beyond gorgeous, but it is styled perfectly, with just right amount of glamour and bling. The bodice is so greatly made, at first I did not realize that an illusion fabric is even there! The skirt works perfectly in motion, whole dress is giving just enough Spanish vibe, without being too Flamenco/Paso Doble/literally Spanish. It embodies that lyrical, melancholic yet a bit seductive vibe of the music. And what an amazing contrast with Kaitlyn's porcelain complexion and fair hair! Love, just love that costume

She has a beauty being able to look fantastic in probably any colour/shade. Both dresses are amazingly detailed, with just right amount of sparkle in them. Darker dress goes great with her hair and a bit more dramatic make-up, in silvery grey her skin seems glowing!
- Piper Gilles dresses this season - SD: https://cdnolympic.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/20170120-ice-dance-sp-gk0022.jpg?quality=75&w=800 and FD: http://media.gettyimages.com/photos...ete-during-ice-dance-free-picture-id622844936, so stylish and going well with music/program! I'd add even more sequin bling to her SD dress, but it is fun and sassy with that 70s tassels, colourful hair extensions and deep shade of red/orange. FD dress is so unobvious for Tango, very delicate and airy-looking and yet it embodies drama, seduction and Latin vibe in it, a bit of contrary to Paul's sharp dark suit. And this purple flower in her hair, not typical red, and this purple matches the shade of her lipstick, the whole costume, styling is so cohesive, well-thought and detailed regarding Piper and Paul in general. It seems like an integral part of the program, music, not only 'an accessory'.

And she looks so regal and commanding in both costumes, very sophisticated.
- in general I want to point out that regarding female costumes, it is a season of catsuits, so many great examples:

My favorite costumes of the season are Ashley's LP (nationals version), Satoko's LP, the Shibs SD, and Mirai's SP.
I also actually really love Yuzuru's SP costume- purple pants and all. I think it's because I love the program so much. If you had told me last year that my favorite program of the season was going to be Yuzuru skating to prince in lavender pants I wouldn't have believed you... Yuzuru is the only person in the world who can pull that off without looking ridiculous.
