    Casino Man Is Back

    This time at synchronized diving:

    http://edition.cnn.com/2004/SPORT/08/17/tutu.dive/

The description said 31-year old Canadian man. Don't know if he's the same who showed up at Worlds, but CNN didn't even mention Worlds as one of the places where a hired gun of the casino disrupted a sporting event.

All those millions spent on security and the guy just slips through. It would have been a hell of a mess if he had been some nut with a bomb. :(

He is. I can't find the link to the article now, but they did identify his name and mentioned him storming the ice before Kwan skated the LP.

I think we should have a new Olympic event. The synchronized divers should all get one shot with boxing gloves at this jerk, and Michelle Kwan should be the judge and give out medals according to who landed the best 3 punches.

"Inconsiderate Attention-Starved Publicity Hog Punching" -- Bit unwieldy to put on tickets, but I'm still down with that..... :D :D

JonnyCoop - How else can some people get their 15 minutes?

I wonder if tutus are taking over the scene which used to be for streakers. I guess the new wave of intruders are afraid of their shortcomings (that's David Niven line at one of the Oscars).

So it seems that it was the same idiot who jumped out in Dortmund. He got off lightly with just bruises. (JMO) If there had been tougher security, he could have been shot.

No, and that's why so many of us are angry at the light sentences. Monica Seles could have died and Michelle and the divers were fortunate not to have suffered similar horrible fates.
