The latest issue of Blades on Ice has a long article on Steve Disson, followed by an interview with Todd Eldredge. According to the Eldredge piece, Todd's fans were instrumental in getting him these gigs. (He's in the Andrea Bocelli Show with Brian Boitano and also a cohost for the Holiday show with Kristi Yamaguchi.)

Marge Renalds of BOI writes, "Eldredge's popularity continues to expand and his legion of fans wrote letters requesting that Steve Disson give Eldredge his own show this season, which paid off with two shows for the 2004-2005 season for him."

The article mentions the two fans by name who "spearheaded this effort and galvanized his fan base."

Todd says: "I think their whole letter writing project was great and to have that kind of support from my fans was just wonderful. I am grateful for thew input they gave to the show decision-makers on who they wanted to see."

I thought that was quite interesting. I have always wondered whether input from the fans has any effect.

Todd also has his own TV special in the works, scheduled for December 8 and featuring singer Kenny Loggins.
