Yuzuru will be in a charity program of TV on 30th.

It says he will perform R&J No. 1 live

http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20140801-00000331-oric-ent

This program will last for 24 hours, so I'm not sure at what time.

photoA sweet and bitter Yuzu

Pretty sweet Yuzu is on the latest cover of NHK Stera magazine. There is an article about the backstage of his "Hana wa saku" number production.

Bitter finding by some fans that he was using a kind of breathe aids during his practice of FaOI Toyama.

Hi, I have just seen this picture in Yuzuru group on fb. Is the thing he was carrying an inhaler? https://m.facebook.com/groups/363481468489?view=permalink&id=10152559383823490
this popped up on my tumblr, if your still interested

By the way, I read a fan's post to find out this valuable video. In 2011 Nebelhorn Trophy, Stephane Lambiel presented gold medal to Yuzu. At that time, Yuzu was only a 17yo Romeo, today he is a OG medalist and they have performed together in many ice show this summer. What a wonderful witness!

Even longer video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43b3UlAYQ4M

http://brianorser.wix.com/portcarlingskating here is info about "a casual afternoon performance by Brian's skaters from all over the World". It's on Aug 30th from 4pm. My guess is that Yuzu will be performing in Canada (so time will be just fine for him), but it will be early morning in Japan.

アイスショーは被災地の会場から生中継, which means he's going to be skating live from the area of the eartquake and tsunami. (Ice Rink Sendai?).

By the way, Yuzuru never skated in that show. IIRC he was always in Japan when it took place in the past (Javier did, though).
My guess is that he's going back to Japan mid to late August to take his family holiday and stay there until he skates in this charity program, at least. And around that time his free program music will be announced, with maybe some videos of him practicing it as he did last year.

I think this video hasn't been posted here yet. Can someone please translate the part when Oda talks about Yuzuru, Kanako and Akiko. Thank you.

He is talking about the relationship with other skaters.

From 03:40

Announcer: Among the skaters, who do you get along well?

Nobunari: Well, among male skaters, Hanyu-kun, and, among ladies, Murakami Kanako-chan, I think. Maybe, my mental age is low to my actual age (laughs). Oh, this may sound disrespectful to them. In any case, I think I can get along pretty well with younger ones. Of course, I have pretty good relationship with older skaters as well, including Suzuki Akiko-chan.

A: Then, you are communicating with them frequently?

N: Yes, frequently. Using LINE, for example.

A: You are making many appearances on variety TV programs recently. What are they saying about that?

N: Well, I usually consult with them about my appearance on variety shows. I ask for their advice about in which direction or orientation I should take. Such as, "I will act in a variety show and do this and that. What do you think about that?" And so on.

A: They are not in the variety show field, aren't they?

N: No. But, I ask them "I'm going to do this, but I cannot decide yet." Then they reply, "Well, it may be too much, I'm afraid." This kind of consultation.

A: Oh, you are thinking pretty seriously.

N: Yes, I do. If I have done something and messed up, there would be no way to undo it.

A: (Laughs)

N: So, I look and think well before I leap. I do that in order to make the people enjoy the program pleasantly.

A: Oh, it's wonderful.

when asked who inspires him today
Jumping wise, there's just so many people. I'm a big Yuzu[ru Hanyu] fan. Yuzu, Patrick, and Javi. I think those three boys are just, wow.

Try this one, this NHK World Hana Wa Saku with English translations is set to "public": http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22pcw7_hana-wa-saku-flowers-will-bloom_sport Thanks to yusu01207

羽生結弦×Yuzuru Hanyu Get in Motion

Yuzuru got a haircut, from Javier Raya´s instagram http://instagram.com/p/rScFMzTet8/

So, I've found this link, it seems that it's about commercials with him etc, something about a 80 million yen contract (? i'm not sure ... ) I don't know what this is all about though, since Google translate can't form a real sentence to save me. I'm just leaving it here. http://zasshi.news.yahoo.co.jp/cm/main?d=20140805-00010002-jisin-ent
Just a short loose translation...
Normally the salary for a cm is around 50,000,000 yen, so why is it as high as 80,000,000 yen for Yuzuru Hanyu?
Other athletes such as Yuto Nagatomo (soccer) gets 50,000,000 yen, Kagawa Shinji (soccer) gets 60,000,000 yen and in th figureskating world, Taisuke Takahashi around 20,000,000 yen and Mao Asada also 50,000,000 yen.
So how comes that Yuzuru Hanyu's pay is that high. At the moment he has offers from about 20 companies. But as a top skaters the commercials he can do are limited to around 5. At the moment there are only two spots left, so the competitions is quit rough. Most likely he will chose some drink maker and a clothing company.

I hope I didn't make any mistakes with the numbers.... And it's just a rough translation!

I dont think this has been posted here yet. If it has, sorry. Its an article from Japan news: Waseda online university...and its in English!!

I read on Yuzuru forum that he would have a competition named after him this Fall in Miyagi. And that he had other plans concerning supporting junior skaters in that area. It's surprising if it's true.

Ajinomoto is part of JOC ' sponsors? Isn't it? My guess is that Ajinomoto and ANA are under previous deals. What I don't know is if Yuzuru is contractually obligated to exclusively be with JOC partners as long as the contract. He may have to stop being a JOC athlete to sign personal deals.

That sounds incredible, and very much in line with how much he talks about wanting to improve the rink condition in Japan, and also with that magazine quotation (don't remember where) where he talked about wanting to start up a FS school eventually after he retires. He seems really interested in helping figure skating in Japan at the grassroots level, it's actually quite inspirational (just like his wonderful Arakawa-senpai).

But my gosh, I'm older than him yet I feel years behind him in maturity. Yeeeeeeeeeears.

Here's Yamato Tamura's UNIQLO commercial, it's been going around in the Japanese twitter universe. I think sports/apparel ads would really suit Hanyu.

thanks Alexsaytor!

if it's true, Yuzu will be a pure hero and a modern myth!:points:

You're welcome, I wish someone would provide the details. It's very interesting and I wish to know everything about this deal .
I wonder how it feels when a competition is named after yourself, Yuzu is probably happy and a little embarrassed. In case it's not his idea, lol

Someone on the other forum said we shouldn't take these information too seriously, since the source is some tabloid for women to read in hair salon. :)

I read the same topic in a magazine "Shukan Josei", just browsing at a bookstore though :p
The article says that his commercial fee is now 80 million yen, top of the athletes in Japan (about 20 mil. yen for Daisuke, 50 mil. yen for Mao, it says).

It was 50 million yen right after Sochi, but it has risen far more. Still, he has offers from more than 20 companies.

It is an intention of JSA to control the number of his commercials to 5 companies or so. Now he appears in the commercials of ANA, NTT Docomo, and Capcom, maybe two more companies at the most.

He will start a figure skating competition for the skaters of elementary schools named after him from this fall in Sendai, and also he has a plan to launch support system for local junior skaters.

He is still 19 years old, but a great 19, using his earned money for such a meaningful purpose, the article says.

This is not the article itself, but talking about it.

If it's Shukan Josei, then my friend who is living in Japan said: we don't have to take it too seriously. The article might have some correct details, as well as some misleading details (I don't assume that the article should not be believed). Well, it's news paper nowadays, in most countries.

if this is true, i wonder how many percent of that fee will be taken by jsf :eek:hwell:

any guesses?

Nothing is going to the JSF, they pay taxes to the goverment, not Japan Skating Federation.

Unless Yuzuru decide to move to Monaco or Swizerland he most pay taxes, same as everybody else.

Yuzuru looks pretty good with his new bulk.
I'm still not totally sold on his new sp costume. Of course it looks better on ice, so it'll will probably grow on me the more he performs.
The Final Time Traveler EX is beautiful. I really hope he makes it his EX competition. Since his summer's been busy, maybe it's possibility.

Do you have any prove that JSF takes money from the skaters? Other than rumors on forums? :)

i think you misunderstood me, but oh well :)

and to answer your question, beyond rumors and forums, no... i dont... but i dont have any proof that they dont take some of their skaters' profits also ;).

.... well thats just my opinion so i'll stop here :)
