Just hope that some of the US promising junior pairs stay together and continue to develop. Our pairs program sure could use some fresh new talented faces.
And nice to see Katy in the running.
Joe
Thanks for the post, Lotusland. Here is review from the Golden Skate main page about Katy.
And here is a very nice article about the ladies winner, Kim. She is the first Korean lady to win an international skating event of any kind.
Hooray for the U.S. pairs teams, Schmidt and Pottenger and Seitz and Seitz. What a shame we don't get to see any of these events on television.
Question: Who is Tommy Steenberg (4th place), who finished ahead of Jordan Brauninger (5th)?
Mathman
Tommy Steenberg won the Junior men's pewter (4th place) medal at 2004 Nationals. He'll turn 16 in November and one of his coaches is Audrey Weisiger. Here's the link to his USFS bio: http://www.usfsa.org/AthleteBio.asp?id=2280
With his 4th place finish in Budapest, he has a good chance of receiving a 2nd JGP assignment (Germany or Romania).
I have been hoping to see some pictures from this event, but none at the usfsa website the last time I checked... All pictures seem to be from Nebelhorn Trophy.
