2010 Olympics - possibly Vancouver, BC, Canada. (Should we win the bid).

2005 US Nationals - Portland, Oregon

2006 US Nationals - St. Louis, Missouri

also:

2003 Skate America - Reading, Pennsylvania

2004 Skate America - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Edited to make the years match what I meant, not what I said

2004 is definitely in Atlanta, 2005 in Portland, 2006 in St. Louis...

2004 Worlds is going to be held (I think) in Dortmund, GER.

What city in the US is the GPF taking place? Colorado Springs? I can't remember off the top of my head.

Cynic, yes, GPF next fall/winter (is it in Dec. or Feb. this time?) is in Colorado Springs. I'm sure because Colonial Travel sent me their tour info for it (ha ha, like I can afford that).

What cities are each of the GP events going to be held?

I realize this is gloating a bit, but I made sure to separately stash away enough cash from the sale of our house to be able to possibly tour the whole Grand Prix circuit. I haven't decided if I'll go (depends on global political issues at that time, home situation, etc.) since I'd be gone at least 6 weeks, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll work out.

I'm going to GPF '03... very excited... Why don't they have Skate America in, say, Los Angeles? :) Why in PA two straight years in a row, y'all think?

Lanechka - because I can't get to Reading next fall but I might be able to get to Pittsburgh! :p

Cynic - Lucky Lucky! I am only 17 so it's not like I can just jet off to Colorado or much anywhere else by myself (or afford to) or I would be following you. But now after seeing some of Worlds my mom has decided she needs to make up for all the years of fandom when she didn't go to anything live and wants us to try to go to some stuff now, which is great. Anyway if you pull off the tour have a great time!

Jen, if your mom is springing for it, you're luckier than I am!!

I went to Skate America this year (first competitive event I've been to) and I had the time of my life. Made some friends, met some skaters, saw a new city, and took my first drive over the Cascades. Tell your mom it's worth every penny and then some. You'll love it.

I realize I'm gushing about Spokane (not bagging on it, I thought it was a really neat city, but it is rather small when you compare it to Seattle (was living there at the time), but if I was enthusiastic about that, imagine how nauseatingly enthused I'll be with travelling the globe and seeing competition after competition at the same time. :rollin:
