There's good news for those of us who are aficionados of and even those of us who just have a passing acquaintance with the Broadway Musical. PBS is showing the four star three part "Broadway: The American Musical" with host Julie Andrews, tonight, tomorrow and Thursday.
"As the documentary moves from the 1890s to the present, it tracesthe mixing-bowl impact of immigration, the fight by black Americans to take their proper place on stage, and the effects of war, peace, prosperity and poverty on American culture."
