Prayers and good thoughts out to the Edwards family. I was very impressed with Elizabeth during the campaign. She seemed very down to earth and someday would make an excellent presidential candidate in her own right.

What a strong lady to put off treatment until after the election. I am wondering how this lump was missed with regular yearly checkups and mammograms? 42
The simple answer is mammograms, like all tests are not perfect. There are false negatives, false positives, and sometimes, the growth is still below the limit of detection of the test.
When it rains it pours. Best wishes to the Edwards family. I hope Elizabeth has a curable form of breast cancer.
