For example, how for a given jump, the marks usually spread over several grades : -2 to 1 for Arakawa's combo in the short, -1 to 2 for her flip, -2 to 2 for Sokolova's combo (!!!) etc ... Just have a look at the results sheet (available at the ISU website [/QUOTE] The one gave Arakawa's 3... of themselves. Next time correct themselves.

Ahhh, this gets us to one of the hardest conundruns (sp?) of CoP. When it was first introduced last year, judges saw the level of each element. Howeve, it was soon discovered that judges tended to give higher GoE to the more difficult elements. So it was decided to have the judges not see this information. This to me always seemed absurd -- say you have a spiral sequece; say it's change of edge is there, but very short. Perhaps the judge would mark down the element if it is a level 3, but no if it is level 2, since in the latter case it is not a requirement. Same logic applies to jumps.alain707 said:Now about the judges giving a -3 for the flip, they must have thought the jump is considered a triple (it would not make sense otherwise). Can they know it is only called a double ? It looks like some do and other don't.
