Johnny Weir's Journal

The attached link is from Johnny Weir's official website and takes you to his most recent journal entry. Granted, it's over two months old, but it's interesting. It sounds as though Johnny has a very ambitious competitive schedule for this year.

The website has numerous archived journal entries, as well as news, photos, and other items.

IMHO, if he has a consistent quad at Worlds, and skates two clean programs, he's going to win a medal, perhaps even the gold medal.

Enjoy!

The question and answer section from Johnny's site has some more recent updates than the journal, so make sure to check there as well for Johnny's take on things.

Johnny posted a very thoughtful, candid, and emotional journal entry shortly after his disastrous 2003 US Nationals. He described his humiliation, disappointment, and injury and really got all of the negative feelings out. At the same time, he reached out to his friends, family, and fans, all of whom were very supportive and positive.

In my opinion, writing these journals is an excellent catharsis for the skaters, as it enables them to express their feelings - really express them - and share them with their legions of fans.
