Prolific writer, Historian, Journalist, Media personality, Pierre Berton died today. He was 84. He penned 50 books in his lifetime. A very kind, well-liked and humorous man will be missed by all Canadians. His greatest legacy to us is his books - especially:

The Last Spike and the National Dream.

It was sad to hear the news yesterday. At least he got to live a long, fulfilling life. He will be missed.
